Case presentation: This case report concerns a 49-year-old woman who
developed norethisterone drug -induced cholestasis, a progestin
contraceptive, which is quite rare complication generally observed with
estrogenic component of combined oral contraceptive pill.
Superior mesenteric artery syndrome-induced pancreatitis is rarely
reported .We report a case which can be explained by an occlusive
post-papillary syndrome, which produces retrograde reflux of bile into
the pancreatic duct, activating inflammation responsible for
pancreatitis.
