A meta-analysis was performed to assess health risks of low impact developments (LIDs). • Proportion of diarrheal illness exceeding WHO guidelines was high for harvested rainwater. • The disease burden of spray irrigation surpassed the WHO and US EPA guidelines. • The DALYs of LIDs in catchment with aged infrastructure exceeded the health guidelines.
