Zusammenfassung: Ein neu konstruierter Fragebogen zur Selbstbeschreibung der Aufmerksamkeit wurde N = 111 Studenten und N = 45 hirngeschädigten Patienten vorgegeben. Ziel der vorliegenden Untersuchung war die Prüfung der Validität von verhaltensnahen Selbstbeschreibungen der Aufmerksamkeit. Es wurde überprüft, ob hirngeschädigte Patienten gegenüber Studenten eine stärkere Beeinträchtigung ihrer Aufmerksamkeit angeben. Zusätzlich wurden Korrelationen mit objektiven konstruktkonvergenten Leistungstests ermittelt. Es zeigte sich, dass Patienten gleich hohe oder geringere Aufmerksamkeitsdefizite als Studenten angeben. Die Korrelationen mit objektiven Leistungstests waren gering. Selbstbeschreibungen der Aufmerksamkeit scheinen vom Situationskontext abzuhängen, in dem sich der Patient befindet. Verschiedene Gründe für diese Abhängigkeit werden diskutiert. Als Konsequenz ergibt sich, dass Selbstbeschreibungen der Aufmerksamkeit gruppenspezifisch normiert werden sollten.
