Mathematics is one of the subjects that students consider difficult. This happens because students do not know how to operate multiplication and division, especially in the matter of measuring units of length. In addition, students consider mathematics lessons to be boring, since the teacher uses only the lecture method. This study aims to find out how the application of unit ladder media to student learning outcomes. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted for one month at SD Muhammadiyah Sidoharjo Lamongan with material on measuring length using standard units in grade IV students totaling 22 students, with 10 men and 12 women and carried out in II cycles. Cycle I showed an average score of 66.13 and with a learning completion of 66%. While in cycle II the average score of students is 80 with a learning completion of 80%. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the use of learning media for length units in length measurement materials using standard units can improve student learning outcomes.
For an educator, the selection of a learning model should be done carefully so that the choice is appropriate or relevant to various other aspects of learning, is efficient and interesting. The low learning outcomes of students can be caused by a lack of supporting aspects that can attract students' interest in learning. This problem is often encountered in learning with many concepts, thus increasing student activity, one of which is learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in student learning outcomes after using Mind Mapping learning media. The purpose of this study is to explain the increase in student learning outcomes after using Mind Mapping learning media. This study applied the classroom action research method (PTK), which consisted of two cycles and four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. This study uses qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. Student learning outcomes have increased after the application of this Mind Mapping learning media, from cycle I by 40% and cycle II by 80%. These results prove that the application of mind mapping media can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students.
ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola asuh grandparenting terhadap pembentukan karakter anak pada pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) selama pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner sosiodemografi dan wawancara dengan Responden berjumlah 25 nenek dengan rentang usia 46-60 tahun yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan mulai dari SD, SMP, SMA dan S1 berada di wilayah Kecamatan Laren dan Kecamatan Solokuro, Kabupaten Lamongan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengasuhan grandparenting terjadi akibat beberapa faktor yaitu perceraian, kematian dan waktu bekerja orang tua yang harus melimpahkan tanggung jawab mengasuh kepada nenek. Pola pengasuhan yang di gunakan grandparenting pada pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) selama pandemi covid-19 berupa pengasuhan yang otoriter dan permissif dengan menggunakan metode penjelasan, pemberian contoh dan pembiasaan. Dalam pola asuh yang digunakan nenek berdampak baik dalam membentuk karakter berupa disiplin, tanggung jawab, jujur, religius dan mandiri pada cucu mereka. Dengan terbentuknya karakter anak dengan baik maka dalam membiasakan anak dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan selama pandemi covid-19 dengan hidup bersih dan sehat juga berjalan dengan baik.Kata Kunci: Grandparenting, Karakter anak, Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ), Covid-19ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the parenting style of grandparenting on the formation of children's character in the implementation of Distance Learning (PJJ) during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection using sociodemographic questionnaires and interviews with respondents totaling 25 grandmothers with an age range of 46-60 years who have educational backgrounds ranging from elementary, junior high, high school and undergraduate are in the Laren and Solokuro sub-districts, Lamongan district. The results showed that grandparenting was caused by several factors, namely divorce, death and working time, parents who had to delegate parenting responsibilities to grandmothers. The parenting pattern used by grand parenting in the implementation of Distance Learning (PJJ) during the COVID-19 pandemic is in the form of authoritarian and permissive parenting by using explanation, example and habituation methods. In the parenting style used by grandmothers, it has a good impact in shaping the character in the form of discipline, responsibility, honesty, religion and independence in their grandchildren. With the formation of a child's character well, familiarizing children with implementing health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic by living clean and healthy also goes well.Keywords: Grandparenting, Child character, Distance Learning (PJJ), Covid-19
