ÖZBu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye'de eğitim programları ve öğretim alanında yürütülen doktora programlarını öğrenci ve öğretim üyesi görüşleri bağlamında değerlendirmektir. Program değerlendirme çalışması olan bu araştırmanın yöntemi nitel araştırma, deseni durum çalışmasıdır. Çalışma grubunu eğitim programları ve öğretim doktora programı olan 22 üniversiteden 27 öğretim üyesi ve 29 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya katılan öğrenciler sekiz farklı lisans bölümünden mezun olmuşlardır. En büyük grubu %38 ile İngilizce öğretmenliği mezunları oluşturmaktadır. Bu grubu ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim matematik öğretmenliği mezunları izlemektedir (%21). Öğrencilerin %66'sı eğitim programları ve öğretim alanında yüksek lisans derecesine sahiptir. İngilizce öğretmenliği alanında yüksek lisans yapanlar %14'lük bir grubu oluşturmuştur.Katılımcı doktora öğrencilerinin %65,5'i araştırma görevlisi, %48'i kadın ve %52'si erkektir. Katılımcı öğretim üyelerinin ise %55'i Doçent, %26'sı Profesör ve %19'u Dr. Öğretim Üyesi unvanlarına sahiptir. Öğretim üyelerinin %55'i erkek, %45'i kadındır. Araştırmanın veri toplama tekniği görüşme, veri toplama aracı yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formudur. Verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz ile içerik analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilere göre doktora programlarındaki en önemli problemler; ders ve ödev yükü, derslerin verimsiz geçmesi, öğrencilere karşı olumsuz tutumlar ve tez konusu belirlemedir. ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to evaluate curriculum and instruction doctoral programs in Turkey in the context of students and faculty members views. The method of this research, which is a program evaluation study, is qualitative research and the design is case study. The study group consisted of 27 faculty members, and 29 students, from 22 universities which have curriculum and instruction doctoral programs. Students who participated the study have graduated from eight different undergraduate programs. The largest group consists of English teaching graduates with 38%. This is followed by primary and secondary mathematics teaching graduates (21%). 66% of the students had their master's degree in the area of curriculum and instruction.
