This article discusses one of the areas of alternative energy development and problems of the use of bioethanol in in- ternal combustion engines. Physical and chemical properties of bioethanol are analyzed; mathematical model of the combustion of bioethanol ICE is given. The results of theoretical research of operating process characteristics are shown.
The article describes the experimental plant and its equipment for studying the parameters of internal combustion engine running on gasoline-ethanol fuels. There are also given the parameters of internal combustion engine obtained with help of this experimental setup.
The article deals with methods to improve the starting characteristics of internal combustion engines with spark ignition running on petrol-ethanol fuels with different concentrations of ethanol.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
