Laser technology for determining the geometry of the rotor of a hydroelectric generator under load, based on automated remote high-speed measurements through the ventilation channel of the stator using a semiconductor FMCW-lidar is described. The experimental model of the laser system was tested on an existing hydroelectric generator. Results of measurements of the geometry of a loaded rotor of acting hydroelectric generator No. 4 of the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station (type SVF/1285-42V4, 640 MW) have been obtained for the first time. The error of measurements made by this method based on laser technology in experimental form did not exceed 1%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
