ZusammenfassungTransiente neonatale Myasthenia gravis wird durch Antikörper ausgelöst, die von der Mutter durch die Plazenta auf den Feten passiv übertragen werden. Die Symptome der Erkrankung entwickeln sich erst Stunden bis Tage nach der Geburt. Die betroffenen Kinder zeigen meist Muskelschwäche in Form von Schluck- und Saugproblemen, leises Schreien, ausdrucksschwache Mimik, in 30 % treten respiratorische Komplikationen auf. Bei schweren Formen tritt bereits pränatal eine Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita auf, die auch zum Tode führen kann. Wir berichten über einen Fall der transienten neonatalen Myasthenie, in dem das Neugeborene am 2. Lebenstag durch die typischen Symptome der Erkrankung auffiel.
