The digital revolution in digital image processing has made it possible to create, manipulate and transmit digital images in a simple and fast manner. The adverse affect of this is that the same image processing techniques can be used by hackers to tamper with any image and use it illegally. This has made digital image safety and integrity the top prioritized issue in today's information explosion. Watermarking is a popular technique that is used for copyright protection and authentication. This paper presents an overview of the various concepts and research works in the field of image watermark authentication. In particular, the concept of content-based image watermarking is reviewed in details.
Advancement in communication medium is producing large volume of digital information which needs to be protected. Watermarking is a technique that is used to hide secret signal into digital signal in a manner that does not reduce overall quality of the original signal. In relation to digital image watermarking, another area that is drawing attention is the multiple watermarking, where more than one watermark is embedded into single multimedia object. M ultiple watermarks are normally proposed as a method to provide extra security to an image by embedding two or more secret messages into the cover image. In the present research work, the concept of multiple watermarking is used to hide both copyright and authentication information into a color image. For this purpose a wavelet transformation based on texture properties and secret sharing us ing visual cryptography is used. Experimental results indicate that the proposed watermarking scheme is highly robust and does not degrade the original signal.
This paper proposes a content based color watermarking scheme based on block SVD and Arnold Transformation [1]. The main intention of watermarking system is to meet two conflicting objectives. They are robustness and transparency. DWT is used as a feature (Content based Watermark) to embed it in the host image. The watermark's pixel is embedded into the maximum singular value bit of each block obtained from the block SVD transformation of host image in each RGB channel. To increase the security, Arnold Transformation is used to watermark scrambling pretreatment. Experimental result shows the robustness of this scheme against common image processing operations such as JPEG compression, noise, rotation, rescaling, etc.,.
Abstract-The VEDA is one of the emerging techniques in the field of Image Processing.Car-license-plate detection (CLPD) comprises of two main steps. The first step comprises of converting a color image into grayscale values, which raises the speed of the CLPD method. Then input to Adaptive threshold (AT) to segment the image and binarised it, then apply unwanted-line elimination algorithm (ULEA) to remove unwanted lines thus enhance the image, then VEDA is applied. The second part comprises of CLPD method which processes low resolution images taken by a web camera. Now the VEDA detects the vertical edges, the desired plate details based on color information are highlighted. Now,performing statistical and logical operations the candidate region will be extracted. Finally, the license plate (LP) is detected.
