Le PRDH de l'Université de Montréal et le Groupe de recherche sur la maladie de Rendu-Osier (Lyon) ont développé en commun un logiciel de gestion et d'analyse de registres de population. Conçu pour systèmes IBM, il est structuré à partir du logiciel dBase III et ne nécessite que peu d'espace pour fonctionner (2,8 Mo pour 8 500 individus).
Le coeur du logiciel permet de gérer le registre, en consultant ou modifiant les données, en retranchant ou ajoutant des individus ou des unions. Outre la production de "fiches de famille" inspirées de L. Henry ou de biographies individuelles, le logiciel établit les généalogies ascendantes et descendantes de tout individu présent dans le registre.
En aval sont proposés des modules d'analyse démographique et généalogique. Les principaux calculs de nuptialité, de fécondité et de mortalité sont disponibles, de même que le calcul des coefficients de consanguinité et d'apparentement.
