The density, viscosity and
transference number of aqueous manganese chloride have been determined over the
concentration range of 0.1-5.8 mol kg-1 at 298.15 K. The viscosity
data are compared with literature values and the transference numbers are used
to discuss chloro-complexformation.
The viscosity
B-coefficients of glycine and DL-alanine in 5%, 15% and 25% w/w
dimethylformamide-water mixtures have been measured. The densities and limiting
apparent molal volumes are also presented. It is shown that dimethylformamide
is a structure-breaker whereas DL-alanine is only a weak structure-breaker.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
