PACS 61.66.Fn, 71.30.+h, 75.47.Lx, 75.30.Kz Polycrystalline bulk samples of La 1-X Ba X MnO 3 (x = 0.5 -0.65) were synthesized by solid state reaction route. Low temperature four probe resistivity measurements and a.c. susceptibility measurements were carried out on these samples after the analysis of powder XRD data with Rietveld fitting method. All the studied compounds showed paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition at T C ~ 330 K and also showed insulator-metal transition (at temperature T P ) with no indication of charge-ordering. In La 1−x Ba x MnO 3 case the insulator-metal transition is well below the magnetic transition. At x = 0.55, the difference in T P and T C is ~ 90 K and also XRD pattern starts showing the existence of BaMnO 3 phase which grows with x.
Tin (II) oxide based nanostructure thin films were synthesized using thermal oxidation of pure tin metal on glass substrates. To investigate the effect of thermal oxidation temperature and time on LPG sensing performance of thin films, it was carried at various oxidation temperatures 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and 1000 °C with oxidation time of 30, 60, 90, 120, 160 and 190 s respectively. These sensors were tested for 100 ppm concentration of LPG. Thin films synthesized at oxidation temperature of 800 °C and oxidation time of 120 s exhibit highest response (% Sf = 5 x 10 3 ) at operating temperature of 120 °C. The sensors were found to be extremely stable and repeatable with a response and recovery time of 29 and 84 s.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
