RESUMO:A crescente demanda da pimenta tem impulsionado o aumento da área cultivada e o estabelecimento de agroindústrias, tornando o agronegócio de pimentas, tanto doces quanto picantes, um grande segmento de hortaliças no País. Diante disso, objetivou-se, avaliar o efeito de diferentes substratos sobre a produção de pimenta cv Tabasco. O experimento foi conduzido em ambiente protegido, localizado no campus da Universidade Estadual de Goiás em Anápolis.A produção de pimentas foi estimada através da contagem total dos frutos em cada planta, quando 50% dos frutos já estavam maduros. RESUMO:No presente trabalho, avaliou-se dois níveis de poda verde (um e dois brotos por ramo) e dois níveis de irrigação (com e sem irrigação durante a fase de maturação) em videiras da cultivar 'Niágara Rosada' (Vitis labrusca), sob as condições do noroeste paulista. O experimento foi conduzido em área da Estação Experimental de Viticultura Tropical da Embrapa Uva e Vinho, localizada no município de Jales, noroeste do estado de São Paulo. As plantas de 'Niágara Rosada' sobre porta-enxertos 'IAC 572' foram conduzidas no sistema latada, cobertas com tela (18% de sombreamento) para proteção contra pássaros e morcegos, e irrigadas por microaspersão. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos e dez repetições. Foram avaliadas a produção por plantas e as variáveis relacionadas à qualidade dos frutos, como teor de sólidos solúveis, pH, acidez, tamanho e massa de bagas e massa de cachos. As comparações entre médias foram realizadas empregando-se o teste de Tukey, ao nível de 5% de probabilidade. A poda verde afetou a produção por planta e a massa dos cachos. A suspensão da irrigação influenciou o teor de sólidos solúveis dos frutos. As demais variáveis analisadas não apresentaram diferenças significativas entre os tratamentos.
