ABSTRACT Following a review of previous literature on Classopollis Pflug, 1953 and a discussion of its nomenclature, type species, and diagnosis, this pollen genus is here emended on the basis of numerous specimens recoveredfrom Permian to Upper Cretaceous rocks in Canada. The type species, Classopollis classoides Pflug, is also emended, and three new species are described. The stratigraphic occurrence, possible depositional environment, and possible affinities of the genus are discussed.
