t = time for which heater held at given heat flux, min. t i = time to increase heat flux from one setting to mother, min. ATsat = temperature at metallic surface of heater minus saturation temperature of liquid, O F . 0 = angle from topmost point of bubble to contact point on surface (Figure 4) radians or deg. p u LITERATURE CITED = liquid density, l b d c u . ft. = liquid to vapor surface tension, lb.f/ft.
Constant‐load and constant‐current discharge data are presented for a soluble iron‐titanium electrochemical system. Output performance is limited mainly by activation polarization in the anodic reaction,
normalTifalse(IIIfalse)−e−→normalTifalse(IVfalse)
. The influence of different electrode materials, including platinum, graphite foil, and titanium‐base electrodes, and of temperature was investigated.
The Leitz TAS‐Plus image analysis system was programmed to automatically measure both the ‘shape’ fractal and ‘fragmentation’ fractal for various types of fine particle filter cakes. The automated nature of the analysis facilitated the collection of statistically significant volumes of ‘fractal’ data. This data was then revised, where possible, to conventional theories of flow behavior. Several new insights evolved from the study as explained in the following analysis.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
