A field experiment was carried out in the fields of one of the farmers in the province of Wasit Al-Ahrar area during the agricultural season 2015-2016 to control the wild barley and other weeds accompanied with the wheat. The experiment included six herbicides (Sulfon using 50 g.h−1, Granysam with 15 g.h−1, Granysam at the rate of use of 25 g.h−1, Bonanza rate of use of 100 g.h−1, Bonanza rate of use of 125 g.h−1 and 2,4 - D use rate of 1320 ml. h−1) and the treatment of weedy. Sulfon, Bonanza 100 g.h−1and Bonanza 125 g.h−1 herbicides affected significantly in reduced of weeds number of narrow leaves and its decreasing dry weight. While Sulfon, Granysam at a rate of 15 g.h−1, Granysam at a rate of 25 g.h−1 and 2.4-D in reducing weeds number of broad leaves and Its decreasing dry weight. The effect of herbicides in reducing the number of weeds and inhibiting their growth was reflected in a significant increase in the characteristics of the biological yield and the harvest index. The herbicides treatmeants were gave average of grain yield values 6.10, 5.28, 5.60, 5.55, 5.63, and 5.17 ton.h−1. average of biological yield values 14.17, 13.37, 13.23, 13.27, 13.8 and 12.93 ton.h−1. harvest index 43%, 40%, 42%, 42%, 41% and 40% respectively. It is concluded that the increase in grain yield with Sulfon was higher than the increase in other herbicides, due to the effect of this herbicides on a certain percentage on the broad weeds as well as its effect on the narrow weeds. This shows that the two-effect herbicides have a more positive result in increasing the yield. The efficacy of Bonanza herbicide affects reducing of wheat hight by a small percentage. The efficacy of Bonanza herbicide and Sulfon herbicide in control wild barley the numbers of weeds and its dry weight as well as their effect on the leaves narrow weeds. Granysam and 2.4-D had an effective effect in reducing the number and dry weight of the broad-leaf weeds.
This experiment was aimed to study the effect of the interaction of herbicides and varieties with different types of foliar nutrition in production the highest yield for three wheat varieties. A field experiment was carried out at the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences - University of Baghdad / Jadiriyah for two seasons, as the seeds of the first season were sown on 13/12/2018 and harvested on 15/5/2019, and the seeds of the second season were sown on 4/12/2019 and harvested on 10/5/2020. The randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used in the arrangement of split plots, the nutrition included the main plots, while the varieties with herbicides treatments occupied the secondary plots with three replications. The treatment of V3H3 was significantly superior in achieving the highest average in the grain yield value 4.75 and 5.10 ton h-1 for the two seasons, respectively. As for the nutrition, treatment F3 gave the highest average in the grain yield amounted to 4.74 and 4.69 ton ha-1 for the two seasons, respectively. It could be concluded that V3H3 the best treatment to compete with the weeds by giving it the highest yield. Also, It is noted that the leaves feeding treatments all led to a significant increases in the yield and some of its components despite the normal fertilization treatment was the best treatment by giving it the highest grain yield and a significant increases in two of the yield components.
A field trial was carried out at the fields of Baghdad University - Jadriya for the first location during the summer season of 2018, while the second location was in Mishkab Rice Research Station, Al-Najaf al-ashraf governorate during the summer season of 2019. This study was aimed investigate rice (Oryza sativa cv. Anber) response to foliar application of nutrition with the use of different herbicides. The design was RCBD wihin using split plot arrangement four replicates. The nutrition treatments; (Humic acide, Seaweed, Nano fertilizer, Normal fertilization and Without fertilizer) were in main plots. Herbicides treatments (Ronstar, Oscar, Rainbow, Super flag, weed free and weedy) occupied the sub plots. The results indicated that Ronstar herbicide was superior in giving the lowest average weeds density value 6.55 and 9.60 plant m-2 respectively, and highest average of grain yield was 2.53 and 3.42 t.h-1, respectively. The normal fertilization treatment was superior gave the highest average grain yield value 3.07 and 4.13 t h-1. As for the effects of interaction, the Ronstar combination with normal fertilization gave highest grain yield value 3.55 and 4.59 t h-1, respectively. Concluded from this trial that the Ronstar herbicide is the best among the herbicides used with different fertilization treatments by achieving the highest averages with most of the studied charactristics.
