Amplamente consumido no Brasil, o coentro é uma hortaliça bastante explorada por muitos produtores por ser considerada uma cultura de grande importância socioeconômica. Embora tenha produtividade razoável cultivada com adubos orgânicos, a aplicação de adubo mineral favorece o desenvolvimento vegetativo das plantas e o volume de folhas produzidas, eleva o potencial produtivo, qualidade da produção, agrega valor e melhora o preço de mercado. Neste sentido, objetivou-se avaliar a influência de doses e parcelamento de nitrogênio nas respostas morfofisiológicas do coentro. Os tratamentos foram constituídos de cinco doses de nitrogênio (0; 20; 40; 60 e 80 kg ha-1 de N), cinco épocas de avaliação (25; 32; 39; 46 e 53 DAS), e quatro repetições. Os parâmetros avaliados foram taxa de assimilação líquida (TAL), taxa de crescimento relativo (TCR), taxa de crescimento absoluto (TCA) e área foliar (AF). As maiores taxas de TAL foram observadas no período de 32-39 DAS, e reduziram-se com a idade da planta. Nas doses de 0 Kg ha-1 e 80 Kg ha-1 verificou comportamentos similares para este índice. As maiores taxas de TCR foram verificadas aos 32-39 DAS. Dentre todos os tratamentos avaliados, a dose 60 Kg ha-1 apresentou a maior taxa de TCR. No período de 39-46 DAS, verificou-se um elevado declínio desta taxa de crescimento, que pode ser explicado pela crescente atividade respiratória e pelo auto sombreamento. Os resultados da TCA mostraram que todos os tratamentos que receberam doses de N proporcionaram maior velocidade de crescimento do coentro entre os períodos 32-39 dias e 46-53 DAS. A área foliar (AF) do coentro apresentou resposta linear crescente conforme o aumento das doses de nitrogênio aplicadas no solo. A utilização de doses crescentes de nitrogênio promove o desenvolvimento e crescimento das plantas de coentro. Baixas doses de nitrogênio afetam negativamente os índices fisiológicos do crescimento na cultura do coentro.
