Abstract. Given an orthogonal polynomial system {Q n (x)} ∞ n=0 , def ne another polynomial system bywhere α n are complex numbers and t is a positive integer. We fi d conditions forto be an orthogonal polynomial system. When t = 1 and α 1 = 0, it turns out that {Q n (x)} ∞ n=0 must be kernel polynomials for {P n (x)} ∞ n=0 for which we study, in detail, the location of zeros and semi-classical character.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
