An L-shaped probe can generate circular polarization, combining with surrounding aperture, such as waveguides. And the waveguide antenna using L-shaped probe has broadband characteristics in axial ratio (AR) and input impedance, however cross-polarization (XPOL) is easily generated due to its asymmetrical structure resulting in a narrow azimuth range for circular polarization. This paper discussed a design technique to reduce XPOL generated from a circular waveguide antenna using the L-shaped probe.I.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
