Training in clinical supervision is increasingly emphasized as a core competency in professional psychology, yet methods for providing students with an initial training experience as supervisors in graduate programs are limited. This article describes an experiential supervision exercise that can be incorporated into a graduate class in clinical supervision, providing students with introductory exposure to the supervision competency. Results from student-reported perceptions of the exercise are presented, including the impact of the exercise on students' desire to provide clinical supervision during their career.
