The growth of the tourism industry has created social, economic, and environmental changes, so management steps are needed. Not only from the government but requires community involvement, both local and regional. North Rupat has various tourism potentials that can be managed in synergy to advance the strength and economic welfare of the community independently. The purpose of this research is to explore, find, and describe a model of communication management in community economic empowerment. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection techniques through interviews with 10 informants, observation, FGD, and documentation. The research results show that an integrated management model through the control and management of communication resources in various forms of effective communication can improve the community's economy independently. Management of communication through various communication resources by planning, organizing, implementing and controlling communication elements in achieving predetermined goals. Meanwhile, the form of communication in achieving goals is adjusted to the character of the local community, through socialization, assistance, and counseling using information media and technology.
Lubuk larangan is tradition and also a means of communication based on local wisdom in managing the river and forest environment in Kampar Kiri Hulu District, Kampar Regency. This study aims to explain environmental communication pattern based on local wisdom in the management of Lubuk larangan in the Subayang River, Kampar Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method using an interactive model. There were six informants who were selected purposively. The results show that environmental communication is based on the local wisdom of the community that has been passed down from generation to generation. Traditional leaders (ninik mamak) play an important role in conveying messages of environmental concern in preserving the preservation of the forbidden pits (lubuk larangan), rivers and forest. This hereditary tradition forms local wisdom as a form of joint action through deliberation and mutual cooperation activities. The community manages the lubuk prohibition through communication based on customary law, rituals, myths, phrases, proverbs, and the annual tradition of catching fish (mencokou). This channel of communication through customary laws, myths and traditions is very effective in conserving the Subayang river and forest areas. The environmental communication based on local wisdom in the Subayang River contributes to supporting the preservation of natural resources of forests, rivers, fish and existing ecosystems. Stakeholders such as local governments, universities, mass media, NGOs, companies and the community must synergize with each other in developing local wisdom as a tourist area so that it can be of added value.
Risiko teknologi informasi (TI) di Perpustakaan Universitas Riau, merupakan kejadian yang berpotensi mengganggu proses pelayanan. Risiko TI yang belum terpetakan, mengakibatkan ketidakseimbangan dalam proses identifikasi risiko, sehingga layanan kurang optimal. Untuk memperbaiki ketidakseimbangan ini, risiko TI harus diidentifikasi dan layanan TI harus ditingkatkan agar proses layanan perpustakaan tidak terhenti. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang penerapan framework NIST SP 800-30 oleh Perpustakaan Unri untuk evaluasi risiko sistem informasi perpustakaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan melakukan wawancara dengan orang-orang yang terlibat langsung dengan sistem aplikasi SLiMS Perpustakaan Unri. Temuan penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk memetakan risiko dengan merinci bagaimana menilai risiko sistem informasi perpustakaan dan bagaimana mengelola bahaya sistem informasi perpustakaan Unri.
Petalongan Village is one of the villages in Pasir Penyu District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, which is still left behind. This village has rivers, lakes, and cultural traditions for economic or tourism development. People still do not realize the importance of managing this ecosystem. Therefore, the purpose of this service activity is to change people's behavior in managing and utilizing nature, traditions and culture to improve the community's economy. The targets of this activity are the managers of Village-Owned Enterprises and Women Empowerment of Family Welfare. The service methods carried out started from the socio-economic mapping, counseling, FGD, and mentoring. This community service activity has mapped the economic potential of the village on a lake-based basis. Counseling and FGDs regarding problems in Petalongan Village have contributed to increasing public awareness. Extension activities focused on using the lake for the cultivation of catfish and tilapia. Besides that, training on tourism awareness and UMKM needs to be carried out immediately in order to increase understanding, attitudes and the ability of the community in utilizing the wealth of natural resources in this village. This counseling has a positive impact so that people want to immediately cultivate fish and use the lake for tourism to increase the community’s economic income.
Bengkalis adalah salah satu kabupaten yang memiliki jumlah Industri Kecil dan Menengah (IKM/UKM) terbanyak di Provinsi Riau. Namun demikian beberapa tahun belakangan perolehan laba dari IKM/UKM di wilayah tersebut telah mengalami penurunan. Kondisi ini menjadikan IKM/UKM tersebut dituntut untuk lebih gencar melakukan kegiatan promosi agar produk-produk dari daerah tersebut lebih banyak dikenal dan dibeli oleh konsumen. Penggunaan media sosial sebagai media promosi sangatlah penting untuk diterapkan guna meningkatkan penjualan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan tentang penerapan pemasaran melalui media sosial (social media marketing) sebagai media promosi untuk produk-produk yang dihasilkan oleh pengusaha IKM dan juga Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (Disperindag) di Kabupaten Bengkalis. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama empat bulan dengan kegiatan utama dilaksanakan di kantor Disperindag Kabupaten Bengkalis. Peserta yang hadir lebih dari empat puluh orang yang terdiri dari para pengusaha IKM yang ada di Bengkalis serta para staf dan pegawai Disperindag itu sendiri. Respon yang positif telah diberikan para peserta atas kegiatan tersebut. Dari kegiatan ini diketahui bahwa tidak seorang pun dari peserta yang menggunakan media sosial sebagai media promosi produk mereka. Sebagian besar peserta juga belum memiliki pengetahuan yang baik dalam menggunakan teknologi informasi berbasis internet. Melalui kegiatan pendampingan ini, para pengusaha IKM mendapatkan pengetahuan baru serta kemampuan awal dalam penerapan social media marketing yang sangat bermanfaat bagi pengembangan usaha terutama dalam hal promosi produk mereka.
