On the occasion of Prof. I . M . Panayotov's 60th annzcersary
SynopsisEvidence was found of donor-acceptor complexation of rnolyhdenuni(V1) compounds by iinuar and crwslinked PEO. The interaction was studied by optical and NMK spectroscopy and conductivity measurements in organic medium. PEO networks wc'rc capable of hinding molybdenum salts even in aqueous solution. The character of the interaction is considered to he essentially different from complex formation with alkali metal salts. 'This is manifested in the relatively low vtilues of the stability constants of complexes with linear PEO. A remarkable effect of crosslinking on the binding capacity of PEO is registered resulting in an increase of complexation constants in chloroform by two orders of magnitude. *Present address: Higher School of Chemical Technology, BOO() Rourgas, Bulgaria.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
