In this paper, we propose DRP-DHT, a semi-distributed P2P resource sharing model. This model improves the degree of perception of space and time of the system through double ID identity, enhances the efficiency of query through the multi-layered topology. We apply DRP-DHT to DRPSS, a P2P system that provides both live and time-shifted streams, experimental results show that our DRP-DHT significantly reduces the system's routing delay and maintenance overhead, effectively enhances the service qUality.
in recent years, the function of playback for real-time streaming media turns into a hot issue. How to devise the structure and stored approach of video blocks in nodes is the main problem for playback. In this paper we designed a real-time streaming model-TM for live and playback. This model is designed as a combination of the tree and mesh structure. The buffer which is divided into two ranges, fulfill different two sorts of tasks by turns. From the above work, this model can effectively lower the load on the server and the pressure on the nodes, enhance the efficiency of nodes accessing to playback video blocks.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
