Traditionally, lavender is believed to have various therapeutic and curative properties, ranging from inducing relaxation and ending with the treatment of parasitic infections, burns, insect bites and spasms. There is more and more evidence that lavender oil can be an effective drug in the treatment of certain neurological disorders. Some animal and human studies point to the anxiolytic, mood-stabilizing, sedative, analgesic, anticonvulsant and neuroprotective properties of lavender. These studies have raised the possibility of reviving the therapeutic efficacy of lavender in neurological disorders. This article presents an overview of the current experimental and clinical state of knowledge about the effect of lavender on the nervous system.
One of the most important stages of grain harvesting and processing is its post-harvest processing. The quality of the post-harvest processing determines its safety, as well as its quality characteristics. The article considers the properties of a grain heap that affect the separation process. Wheat grain was analyzed for the amount of weed and grain impurities of varieties: "Gift to Crimea" and "Premier", harvested by a new unit for harvesting by the method of combing on the vine. It has been determined that the amount of weed in the grain after the unit is 16-17%, which is 5-10% more than after traditional combine harvesting and a stripping header aggregated with a combine. The size of the weed was also determined by sifting through a set of sieves with a diameter of 6 mm, 4 mm, 3.5 mm, 3 mm, 2 mm, 1.5 mm.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
