Wachstumsstockungen und mehr oder minder starke Schiidigungen der einzelnen Pflanzen (Abwerfen der befallenen Bl{itter u. a.) waren die unausbleibliche Folge. Eine Herkunft hob sich jedoch inmitten dieser ,,Metlltaupflanzen" durch ihre normale Blattfarbe deutlieh ab. Es handelte sich hierbei um eine siidportugiesische Herkunft der gelben Lupine. Der betreffende Formenkreis Das Versuchsergebnis der spontanen Mehltauinfektion konnte wohl noch kaum einem Zweifel Raum lassen, dab wir es in unserem Versuch tats~chlich mit mehltauresistenten Formen der gelben Lupine zu tun haben. Um aber in der Beurteilung ganz sicher zu gehen, haben wir danach die gleichen Pflanzen im Gew~chshaus kiinstlich mit Mehltau infiziert. Die Infektion verlief negativ und nine Wiederholung zeitigte Abb. i. Samen und Hi~lsen der mehltauresistenten Wildformen der gelben Lupinen (4/5 der nat~irlichen GrOBe).
