Abstract. This study is aimed to integrated between character education and teaching of English Language for kindergarten teachers in LPI NUR Keywords: Learning English, Integration, Character Education, ContextualAbstrak. Tujuan diadakannya pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pelatihan penerapan pendidikan berkarakter dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris bagi guru TK LPI NUR HIKMAH Kampung Sawah. Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa International, memang perlu dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran disekolah akan tetapi pembelajaran bahasa yang konvensional cenderung berpusat pada guru dan mengabaikan keberadaan peserta didik. Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang baik tidak hanya mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif namun juga menanamkan nilai pada diri peserta didik. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris adalah bersahabat, peduli, soial, rasa ingin tahu, demokratis, mandiri, kerja keras, disiplin, dan senang membaca. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dapat ditanamkan pada diri peserta didik dengan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris secara kontekstual. Konsep contructivism, inquiry, dan questioning relevan dengan nilai-nilai mandiri, kerja keras, dan rasa ingin tahu. Sedangkan, nilainilai bersahabat, peduli sosial, disiplin, gemar membaca, dan demokratis dapat ditanamkan dengan konsep learning community modeling reflection dan authentic assessment. Abstract:This research aims to develop manual modules into a versatile technology web-based module in Phonetic Table Program PROTATIK webbased and to explain the interest and the influence of the media in Pronunciation Practice class FBS Indraprasta PGRI University Jakarta. Verbal-based learning such as English pronunciation practice requires the existence of an effective media because if it is directly given without media, inaccuracies in pronunciation, spelling, repetition will occur. The research belongs to Research and Development that includes conducting of a preliminary study to examine the theory and supervise the product, developing and testing or validating a new product. Whereas the development requires an analysis, develops syllabus and materials, creates and revises media. As conducting the try out in the end of the lesson, students are required to give comments on PROTATIK concerning the advantages, disadvantages, suggestions for improvement the media. PROTATIK provides pronunciation models for students to practice and help them to understand the sound of English as it is equipped with buttons to practice presented by nonnative speakers.Keywords: Development, Learning media Web-based PROTATIK, Pronunciation Practice, Undergraduate Student.Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan modul manual menjadi modul berbasis teknologi tepat guna mutakhir berupa PROTATIK (program tabel fonetik) sebagai media berbasis website dan menjelaskan daya tarik dan dampak media tersebut di kelas Pronunciation Practice Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, FBS Universitas Indraprasta PGRI Jakarta. Jenis penelitian termasuk ke dalam Penelitian dan Pengembangan berisi studi pendahuluan dilakukan Pada tahap uji coba di akhir pembelajaran kelas Pronunciation Practice, mahasiswa diminta memberikan komentar meliputi kelebihan, kekurangan dan saran perbaikannya. PROTATIK berisi model pengucapan untuk praktik siswa yang digunakan untuk membantu proses komunikasi sehingga menarik minat mahasiswa dalam memahami materi bunyi bahasa Inggris yang dilengkapi tombol ikon dan suara nonpenutur asli.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Media Pembelajaran PROTATIK Berbasis Website, Praktik Pelafalan, Mahasiswa. <p>This research shows that the origins of the confusion surroundings the theoretical status of cyber technology memes today could be found in culture. Those memes later developed in memetics the science of memes. Memes are a common way for individuals to communicate online. Internet users often use memes to reply to each other on social networking sites or other online forums. This research argues that memes are successfully used for communication purposes because certain memes (specifically image macros) are essentially speech acts and are also understood as being speech acts by internet users. When creating a meme, choices are made concerning the specific semiotic resources to be used and the internet community then interprets these resources to facilitate communication between the meme creator and the internet community. Memes can be recreated for different purposes and therefore it is possible to group memes under already existing speech acts and speculate about the ways in which these might correspond to speech acts in the future.</p>
As a communication tool, the use of good language must consider the context. The relationship between language, implicature, and discourse of housing advertising can be said to be very close. The need of language sector for housing advertising was increasingly important because of the existence of an object (housing) that must be published or marketed. The use of monotonous and straightforward language will give the impression of being unattractive and unworthy of sale. Conversely, the use of language that is conditioned to create an impression of luxury will attract buyers. This study aims to determine how language was used to create a good, luxury, and high selling impression in housing advertisements. The approach used was a qualitative approach, with data collection conducted by observation and taking notes. Research data in the form of housing advertising brochures were collected for one month. The results showed that language is a very important factor in commercial communication. Plain and simple language will have casual repercussions. However, the conditioned language will give the impression of being modern, luxurious, of quality, and extraordinary.
