This study describes the vitality of the oral tradition of Syaer Lampung, which grows and develops in the community of Lampung Pepadun. This effort was made to provide a complete understanding and description of words and sentences in the Syaer's oral literature. The researchers use a qualitative approach in four sets to achieve this goal, namely data collection, data verification, data presentation analysis, and conclusions. Researchers found the philosophical meaning contained in Syaer's oral literature as an advice from ancestors for future generations. The advice inserted in every stanza of Syaer's oral literature is to have a noble character, be responsible, be kind, staying away from detrimental actions to oneself and others. Another philosophical meaning in Syaer's stanza is the command to obey Allah and stay away from His prohibitions. Researchers also found indications of the vitality of Syaer's oral literature, which began to fade among its users. It was found that there was a substantial change in the use of language in Syaer's stanza from Lampung to Indonesian. Based on these findings, the researchers suggested that the conservation for Syaer was necessary.
This research discusses the differences of vowel correspondences, vowel, and consonant variations of Tulangbawang dialect of Lampung language in six research areas. The data collecting technique was conducted by applying dialectology method. Moreover, this research used the list of questions that listed in Swadeshs basic vocabularies. The result showed that there are differences in the linguistic elements in Lampung language which include the differences in phonology, morphology, and lexicon. In the phonological differences, it was found that there are one vowel correspondence, eleven vowel variations, and twenty three consonant variations. In general, vowel correspondence lies in the end of words, and the tendency of occurring is found in the research area 1, 3, 4, and 5. All research areas always have similarities but there are various changes for each correspondence in research area number six. In the morphological differences, there are differences in the form of suffixes namely correspondences. Besides, there are some lexical differences found in the six research areas.Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas perbedaan korespondensi vokal, variasi vokal, dan variasi konsonan dalam bahasa Lampung dialek Tulangbawang di 6 titik pengamatan. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode dialektologi. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggunakan daftar pertanyaan yang digunakan pada 200 kosakata dasar swadesh. Ditemukan perbedaan unsur-unsur kebahasaan dalam bahasa Lampung yang meliputi perbedaan; fonologi, morfologi, dan leksikon. Perbedaan fonologi ditemukan satu korespondensi vokal, sebelas variasi vokal, dan dua puluh tiga variasi konsonan. Umumnya korespondensi vokal posisi akhir kata, ada kecendrungan pada daerah titik pengamatan 1, 3, 4, dan 5. Kesemua itu selalu memiliki kesamaan walaupun pada enam daerah titik pengamatan memiliki perubahan yang berbeda-beda untuk setiap korespondensi yang ditemukan. Dalam perbedaan morfologi terdapat perbedaan bentuk sufiks yang berupa korespondensi. Selain itu, perbedaan leksikon cukup banyak ditemukan pada enam titik daerah pengamatan.
Penelitian ini membahas tiga hal, (1) apa saja nama dan makna aksesori pakaian adat Lampung Pepadun dikaji dari sisi semantik leksikal, (2) apakah makna sosial dan makna kultural dari aksesoris pakaian adat Lampung Pepadun dari sisi semiotic, dan (3) bagaimana sikap masyarakat Lampung terhadap eksisitensi pakaian adat Lampung Pepadun secara umum. Tujuan penelitian (1) mengetahui perkembangan pakaian adat Lampung pepadun, (2) memahami sikap masyarakat Lampung terhadap pakaian adat Lampung pepadun, dan (3) menelaah filosofi dan makna dalam pakaian adat Lampung pepadun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode kualitatif deskiptif, linguistik antropologi. Selanjutnya teori untuk mengupas penelitian ini memakai teori semantik leksikal dan teori simeotik. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan, perkembangan pakaian adat Lampung pepadun sangat baik. Sikap masyarakat, bangga terhadap pakaian adat Lampung pepadun. Begitu juga masyarakat pengrajin aksesoris pakaian adat dan desainer terus berinovasi. Terdapat dua puluh kosa kata aksesori pakaian adat Lampung Pepadun, yaitu (1) sigor/siger, (2) kembang cempaka, (3) beringin tumbuh, (4) serajo bulan, (5) bulang taji, (6) bebe, (7) papan jajar, (8) gelang burung, (9) gelang kano, (10) gelang ruwi, (11) gelang bibit, (12) buah manggus, (13) kalung bulan temenggal, (14) sabik inuh, (15) sabik buluh perindu, (16) selempang pinang buah jukum, (17) bidak bekilas, (18) ikat pinggang bulu serati, (19) tapis jung satrat, dan (20) tanggai. This research discusses three things (1) what are the names and meanings of Lampung Pepadun traditional clothing accessories studied from the side of lexical semantics (2) What is the social meaning and cultural meaning of the accessories of the Lampung Pepadun traditional clothing in terms of semiotics (3) how the attitude of Lampung people for the existence of the Lampung Pepadun traditional clothing in general. The purpose of the study is (1) to know the development of Lampung pepadun traditional clothing. (2) to understand the attitude of the Lampung community towards Lampung pepadun traditional clothing (3) to examine the philosophy and meaning in Lampung traditional pepadun clothing. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative methods with anthropology linguistic. Furthermore, the theory used to explore this research are lexical semantic theory and simeotic theory. The results of the research show that the development of Lampung traditional pepadun clothing is very good. The people of Lampung are proud of Lampung traditional clothing pepadun. Likewise, the crafters of traditional clothes accessories and designers continue to innovate. There are twenty vocabularies of Lampung Pepadun traditional clothing accessories, they are (1) sigor/siger, (2) kembang cempaka, (3) beringin tumbuh, (4) serajo bulan, (5) bulang taji, (6) bebe, (7) papan jajar, (8) gelang burung, (9) gelang kano, (10) gelang ruwi, (11) gelang bibit, (12) buah manggus, (13) kalung bulan temenggal, (14) sabik inuh, (15) sabik buluh perindu, (16) selempang pinang buah jukum, (17) bidak bekilas, (18) ikat pinggang bulu serati, (19) tapis jung satrat, dan (20) tanggai.
This study revealed ten findings of materials for the procession of carrying out the Nyebuk Kukut tradition, namely, (1) rice water, (2) chicken eggs, (3) coins, (4) banana tree shoots, (5) seven kinds of flowers, (6) basin, (7) sasou leaves, (8) fresh water, (9) sarong, and (10) Buang Emban. The findings interpret the ten materials used for the ceremonial Nyebuk Kukut tradition. The ten ingredients have a good purpose and meaning for the people of Lampung Pepadun. To describe the ingredients of Nyebuk Kukut, the researchers use a qualitative approach to apply interactive steps in the preparation of the research design, which consists of four stages, namely data collection, data verification, data presentation, and analysis, and conclusion. Researchers found a moral message in the Nyebuk Kukut tradition: the bride and groom bring peace and fortune to the bride's and groom's families. In addition, the bride and groom are also expected to always get along with their family/relatives. They can be the successor of the groom's descendants. Through this tradition, the bride and groom are expected to have joy in life and a good-looking impression. After marriage, it is expected that both of them will leave negative things behind. This research recommended that the Nyebuk Kukut tradition could be well documented and transmitted from generation to generation in the people of Lampung Pepadun
Budaya/tradisi lisan Lampung berupa lagu klasik Lampung yang diiringi petikan gitar tunggal merupakan peninggalan nenek moyang (leluhur) yang perlu dijaga dan dilestarikan. Peninggalan itu perlu dicatat dalam bentuk teks, dan kemudian didokumentasikan dengan tujuan untuk mengenalkan kepada dunia, khususnya kepada generasi muda Lampung. Buku ini selain mengulas tentang sejarah dan kekayaan budaya Lampung, juga menganalisis lirik lagu dan penggunaan gitar klasik Lampung dalam kajian semantik dan musikologi. Di lingkungan masyarakat Lampung adat Pepadun, tradisi lagu klasik Lampung merupakan sarana penyampaian pesan, amanat, dan hiburan untuk bersuka cita dalam suasana santai maupun resmi. Dengan hadirnya buku ini, diharapkan dapat memperkenalkan kepada generasi muda penerus bangsa agar kebudayaan yang sudah ada tetap dijaga dan dilestarikan sampai ke generasi berikutnya. Buku ini juga dapat menjadi bahan pengetahuan umum dan literatur bagi mahasiswa yang mempelajari sastra lisan Lampung maupun musikologi.
