Penyakit infeksi merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat utama bagi negara maju dan berkembang. Salah satu penyebab infeksi adalah bakteri dan bisa menyerang berbagai sistem organ tubuh anak. Untuk mengobatinya digunakan antibiotik. Namun, dalam penggunaannya ditemukan resistensi antibiotik terhadap bakteri. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui bakteri penyebab infeksi pada anak dan pola resistensinya dari berbagai spesimen tahun 2014-2016. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif restrospektif. Sampel penelitian adalah catatan hasil pemeriksaan kultur dari berbagai spesimen dan uji sensitivitas bakteri terhadap antibiotik pasien usia kurang dari 18 tahun di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang periode 1 Januari 2014 – 31 Desember 2016. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bakteri penyebab infeksi pada anak dari spesimen darah adalah Klebsiella sp. Klebsiella sp. sensitif terhadap sulbaktam-sefoperazon (95%) dan netilmisin (86%), dan rata-rata sudah resisten terhadap asam nalidiksat (100%) dan eritromisin (95,7%). Pada spesimen feses dan urin ditemukan Escherichia coli. Pada spesimen feses, Escherichia coli sensitif terhadap sulbaktam-sefoperazon (97,7%) dan meropenem (95,7%), resisten terhadap eritromisin (98%) dan ampisilin (95,3%). Pada spesimen urin, Escherichia coli sensitif terhadap meropenem (86,9%) dan netilmisin (76,9%), resisten terhadap tetrasiklin (91,2%) dan amoksisilin (89,9%). Pada spesimen sputum ditemukan Klebsiella sp. Klebsiella sp. sensitif terhadap meropenem (84,2%) dan levofloksasin (76,9%), resisten terhadap sulfametroksazol-trimetroprim (100%) dan eritromisin (93,8%). Kesimpulan penelitian adalah bakteri yang paling banyak menjadi penyebab infeksi pada spesimen darah anak adalah Klebsiella sp. yang sensitif terhadap sulbaktam-sefoperazon dan resisten terhadap asam nalidiksat. Pada spesimen feses, Escherichia coli sensitif terhadap sulbaktam-sefoperazon dan resisten terhadap eritromisin. Pada spesimen urin, Escherichia coli sensitif terhadap meropenem dan resisten terhadap tetrasiklin. Pada spesimen sputum, Klebsiella sp. sensitif terhadap meropenem dan resisten terhadap sulfametroksazol-trimetroprim.
Abstrak Madu merupakan substansi alam yang dihasilkan oleh lebah yang diketahui memiliki manfaat, salah satunya untuk mengobati faringitis yang disebabkan Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A. Efek antibakteri dari madu dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A. Berdasarkan cara pembuatannya madu terdiri dari madu alami dan madu kemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan daya hambat madu alami dengan madu kemasan secara in vitro terhadap Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A. sebagai penyebab faringitis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan posttest only control group design yang dilaksanakan dari September sampai Desember 2013 di laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Andalas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan madu alami dan madu kemasan dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A dengan diameter daya hambat terbesar pada madu alami adalah 14 mm dan madu kemasan 11 mm. Berdasarkan uji analisis Kruskal-Wallis yang dilanjutkan dengan post-hoc Mann-Whitney terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara daya hambat madu alami dengan madu kemasan dengan nilaip=0,004 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan hasil penelitian adalah madu alami dan madu kemasan memiliki daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A. Madu alami memiliki daya hambat yang lebih kuat dibandingkan madu kemasan. The antibacterial effect of honey can inhibit bacterial growth. By way of making, honey is divided to natural honey dan packing honey. The purpose of this study was to see comparison of the antibacterial effect of natural honey and packing honey againt Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A by in vitro. This research was experimental with posttest only with control group design This study was conducted in September to December 2013 in the laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, Andalas University. The result showed that natural honey and packing honey have antibacterial effect againt Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A. The biggest inhibition area of the natural honey was 14 mm and the biggest inhibition area of the packing honey was 11 mm. Both of honey had differences antibacterial effect with p= 0,004 (p<0,05) with analysis of Kruskal-Wallis test and followed by post-hoc Mann-Whitney. From this study we can conclude that natural honey and packing honey have antibacterial effect againt Streptococcus beta hemoliticus Group A. Antibacterial of natural honey is stronger than packing honey to inhibit bacterial growth.
AbstrakInfeksi nosokomial adalah infeksi yang didapat di rumah sakit, terjadi sesudah 72 jam perawatan pada pasien rawat inap dan bisa juga pada pasien yang dirawat lebih lama dari masa inkubasi suatu penyakit. Menurut penelitian, salah satu kuman penyebab infeksi nosokomial adalah Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Tingginya biaya kesehatan yang bersumber dari obat sebenarnya bisa ditekan secara signifikan jika pasien menggunakan obat generik. Namun telah terjadi salah persepsi di kalangan masyarakat luas bahwa obat generik adalah obat kelas dua yang khasiatnya kurang dibandingkan dengan obat paten. Beberapa penelitian juga sudah membuktikan bahwa efektivitas dari obat generik dan paten adalah sama. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat dan membandingkan zona bebas kuman Pseudomonas aeruginosa penyebab infeksi nosokomial setelah pemberian antibiotika generik dan paten.Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2013 -Desember 2013 di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Universitas Andalas. Penelitian menggunakan 24 sampel biakan kuman P. aeruginosa dari pasien infeksi nosokomial di RSUP dr. M. Djamil Padang yang ditentukan berdasarkan rumus simple random sampling menggunakan metode difusi cakram Kirby-Bauer dan dihitung zona bebas kuman terhadap 4 antibiotika generik dan paten yang diuji.Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan amoxicillin dan eritromisin generik dan paten tidak menghasilkan zona bebas kuman, zona bebas kuman dari 3 sampel yang diuji dengan kloramfenikol generik lebih besar daripada yang paten sedangkan 21 sampel sisanya sebaliknya, dan zona bebas kuman dari 8 sampel yang diuji dengan siprofloksasin generik lebih besar daripada yang paten sedangkan 16 sampel sisanya sebaliknya.Setelah dilakukan analisis statistik menggunakan SPSS dengan uji Ttest independen menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara sensitivitas kuman Pseudomonas aeruginosa penyebab infeksi nosokomial terhadap kloramfenikol dan siprofloksasin generik dan paten. Sedangkan resistensi yang terjadi pada amoxicillin dan eritromisin diduga dipengaruhi oleh pemberian antibiotik. AbstrakPuskesmas Kambang adalah kejadian diare terbanyak di Pesisir Selatan yang menjadi insiden tertinggi di Sumatera Barat tahun 2012 dengan kondisi sanitasi yang sehat kurang dari 60%. Hampir sepertiga kasusnnya terjadi pada balita (26,7%). Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor lingkungan dengan kejadian diare balita. Penelitian menggunakan desain analitik cross sectional dengan jumlah subjek 63 orang dengan teknik multi stage random sampling. Penelitian menggunakan kuesioner melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan analisis univariat kejadian diare balita 36 (57,1%), pembuangan tinja yang tidak sehat 34 (54%), sumber air minum tidak sehat 30 (47,6%), SPAL RT yang buruk 40 (63,5%), pengelolaan sampah yang buruk 36 (57,1%).Analisis bivariat didapatkan hasil ada hubungan signifikan antara pembuangan tinja dengan kejadian diare balita (p=0,010), OR=4,5. Ada hubungan signifikan antara sumber air minum dengan kejadian diare balita (p=0,026), OR=3,7. Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara SPAL RT dengan kejadian diare balita (p=0,003), OR=6. Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pengelolaan sampah dengan kejadian diare balita (p=0,043), OR=3,3. Kesimpulan adalah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara faktor lingkungan. Nearly one-third of cases occur in children under five (26.7%). The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of environmental factors with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five.This study used a cross sectional analytic method with a total subjek were 63 people, chosen by multistage random sampling technique. This study also used a questionnaire with interviewed and observation. Univariate analysis results showed that the incidence of diarrhea children under five 36 (57.1%), unsanitary excreta disposal 34 (54%), the source of drinking water is not healthy 30 (47.6%), poor waste water drainage system 40 (63.5%), poor waste management 36 (57.1%). Bivariate analysis showed significant relationship between excreta disposal site with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five with p=0.010 and OR=4.5. There is a significant relationship between sources of drinking water with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five with p=0.026 and OR=3.7. There is a significant relationship between the waste water drainage system with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five with p=0.003 and OR=6. There is a significant relationship between waste management with the incidence of diarrhea in children under five with p=0.043 and OR=3.3.In conclusion, there were significant relationship between environmental factors. AbstrakPegagan (Centella asiatica) merupakan salah satu tanaman yang digunakan sebagai obat. Salah satu manfaat yang bisa didapatkan dari pegagan (Centella asiatica) adalah antibakterinya. Manfaat antibakterinya didapatkan karena pegagan (Centella asiatica) mengandung zat antibakteri, diantaranya adalah saponin, tannin, alkaloid, dan flavonoid. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang daya hambat ekstrak pegagan (Centella asiatica) terhadap pertumbuhan Vibrio cholerae secara in vitro, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui daya hambat ekstrak pegagan (Centella asiatica) terhadap pertumbuhan Vibrio cholera secara in vitro. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental laboratorium dengan metode difusi (cakram), pada berbagai konsentrasi yaitu 5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, dan100%, di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Andalas. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ekstrak daun pegagan (Centella asiatica) yang diambil di daerah Batusangkar, ternyata tidak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan kuman Vibrio cholerae secara in vitro, sedangkan tetrasiklin yang digunakan sebagai kontrol positif memberikan daya hambat yang baik terhadap pertumbuhan Vibrio cholera, dengan zona hambat 16,3 mm. Ada atau tidaknya daya hambat ekstrak pegagan (Centella asiatica) terhadap pertumbuhan Vibrio cholerae dalam penelitian ini bisa dipengaruhi oleh jenis bakteri yang digunakan, metode pembuatan ekstrak yang dipakai, dan sumber daun pegagan yang digunakan dalam penelitian. One of the benefits that can be obtained from Centella asiatica is an antibacterial effect. Antibacterial effect obtained as Centella asiatica contains anti-bacterial substances, such as saponins, tannins, alkaloids, and flavonoids. This study was conducted to determine the inhibition of extracts of Centella asiatica on the growth of Vibrio cholerae in vitro. The study was conducted with laboratory experimental method with diffusion method (disc), at various concentrations of 5%,10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, and 100%, in the Laboratory of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Andalas. The results showed that extractof Centella asiatica were taken in Batusangkar, did not inhibit the growth of Vibrio cholerae in vitro, whereas tetracycline is used as a positive control gave good inhibition of the growth of Vibrio cholerae, the inhibition zone16, 3mm. Factors influencing the presence or absence of inhibition of Centella asiatica on extracts the growth of Vibrio cholerae, among others, is a type of bacteria used, the method of making the extract used, and the source of Centella asiatica leaves are used in research.
