O presente artigo tem como objetivo demonstrar a importância da preservação e da adequada restauração do patrimônio edificado para a paisagem da cidade em que se encontra. Indica, de forma simplificada, diretrizes sobre como realizar um mapeamento em danos de uma edificação. O resultado é uma documentação que analisa minuciosamente as patologias encontradas em uma construção histórica, suas possíveis causas e como tratá-las para que não haja prejuízo histórico; de forma a nortear profissionais da restauração e áreas afins, auxiliando na percepção, estudo e futura preservação das edificações históricas. O estudo foi feito através de um mapeamento realizado in loco na Estação Central do Brasil, localizada na cidade de Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, que abriga uma escola de artes. O local possui grande relevância em diversos aspectos para a cidade, principalmente para a percepção da identidade local apesar de, atualmente, se encontrar em estado moderado de desagregação. O Laboratório Casa Sustentável (LCS) consiste em um projeto de ensino, pesquisa e extensão da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FAU) da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF), em que são aplicadas técnicas arquitetônicas de bioclimatismo, de sustentabilidade e de conforto ambiental. O espaço resultante faz referência aos ambientes residenciais comumente encontrados em moradias brasileiras, expondo as soluções adotadas e os seus desempenhos – observados na prática – em relação aos confortos térmico, acústico e lumínico. Ao longo do trabalho, buscou-se responder à seguinte pergunta: de que forma o Laboratório Casa Sustentável atua a fim de estabelecer diálogo e orientação ambiental às comunidades local e acadêmica? O objetivo é apresentar o projeto da Casa, a metodologia utilizada para o seu desenvolvimento, e o seu funcionamento atual – através de um trajeto guiado – como forma de ensino, pesquisa, extensão e diálogo com a comunidade. Como metodologia, houve a análise do referencial teórico desde o início do projeto – entre estudos de caso, livros, normas sobre arquitetura bioclimática, entre outros -, posteriormente houve o trajeto walkthrough que demonstra, através de fotografias e desenhos esquemáticos, as técnicas de conforto ambiental utilizadas em cada ambiente. Além dessas estratégias, acrescentam-se as informações coletadas através da experiência como projetistas e guias de visitação pelas autoras. Como resultado da pesquisa, tem-se a demonstração, na prática, do papel de educação ambiental que o Laboratório faz, tanto em relação à comunidade acadêmica, quanto em relação à população em geral. Além disso, tem-se a exposição das técnicas de bioclimatismo empregadas, a fim de democratizar e possibilitar a reprodução desse conhecimento.
A maior parte da população atual vive em área urbana, e a rotina nas cidades comumente acarreta problemas de saúde física, mental e emocional, como: estresse, ansiedade, depressão, obesidade, entre outros. Desde que o ser humano passou a habitar a zona urbana, faz-se essencial planejar espaços públicos de acordo com as suas necessidades psicológicas, físicas e sociais. Neste contexto, o presente artigo, tem como questão norteadora: Qual é o papel do neurourbanismo e, consequentemente, da biofilia no planejamento de cidades promotoras de saúde e bem-estar? O objetivo do trabalho é discorrer sobre os princípios teóricos da neurociência aplicada ao urbanismo, os efeitos de elementos urbanos no cérebro do habitante, a estratégia da biofilia como solução urbana e suas diversas formas de aplicação, a fim de promover o bem-estar e a saúde dos usuários. Como metodologia, foi desenvolvida a revisão bibliográfica de conceitos relacionados à neurociência, urbanismo, arquitetura, biofilia e suas aplicações; e a análise de estudos de caso sobre a experiência de indivíduos e o ambiente que os cerca. Como resultado do trabalho, são destacados os efeitos das cidades e da biofilia no cérebro humano, além de apresentar diretrizes a se considerar em projetos urbanos de acordo com o design biofílico e embasados na neurociência. Concluindo, então, na demonstração da importância de sua aplicação para efeitos satisfatórios de promoção de saúde e bem-estar em áreas urbanas.
Este artigo tem como objetivo central, realizar uma análise acerca da viabilidade da estratégia projetual, conhecida como telhado verde, para habitações de interesse social. A partir de uma verificação histórica de estudos de caso em locais onde a estratégia mencionada foi instalada, bem como em dados bibliográficos extraídos das principais bases de publicações, e em locais em estado de vulnerabilidade social. A metodologia empregada nesta investigação aborda: (i) pesquisa histórica sobre o tema telhados verdes em habitações de interesse social; (ii) fontes primárias documentais, sobre a legislação e normas previstas sobre o referido projeto e sobre os dados sobre a execução na delimitada categoria projetual; (iii) revisão bibliográfica sobre questões ligadas ao tripé da sustentabilidade, bem como das referências arquitetônicas sobre equipamentos semelhantes; (iv) levantamento empírico de um estudo de caso pertencente a universidade a qual a presente autora está vinculada, a fim de se estabelecer um diagnóstico. Ao fim, nas considerações, são estabelecidas as principais análises e projeções sobre os impactos do mecanismo, em relação à categoria de projeto selecionado.
