Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurang berkembangnya kemampuan sosial anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan tradisional kelereng terhadap perkembangan sosial anak kelompok B di TK Puteri Sion Medan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yaitu posstetst-only group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelompok B yang ada di TK Puteri Sion yang berjumlah 40 orang Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan random sampling, yaitu memilih sampel dengan acak berdasarkan kelas dengan membuat undian. Cara undian yang dimaksud adalah dengan mengocok 2 gulungan kertas yang berisi nama kelas TK B Puteri Sion (B1 dan B2). Pengambilan pertama terambil satu kelas secara acak yaitu kelas Kelas B1 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengambilan kedua terambil satu kelas secara acak yaitu B2 sebagai kelas Kontrol. Untuk kelas eksperimen 20 orang anak dengan permainan tradisional kelereng dan kelas Kontrol dengan permainan tarik tambang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diketahui bahwa anak kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai terendah 15, nilai tertinggi 20 dan nilai rata-rata 18,2 yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang memiliki nilai terendah 12 dan tertinggi 17 dan nilai rata-rata 14,9. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan sosial anak pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibanding anak kelas kontrol. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh thitung = 6,6; nilai N= 38 diperoleh 2,058. Sehingga diperoleh nilai thitung > ttabel (6,6 > 2,058), dengan demikian hipotesis Ho di tolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan “Ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari permainan tradisional kelereng terhadap perkembangan sosial anak kelompok B di TK Puteri Sion Medan.Kata Kunci: Permainan tradisional, perkembangan sosial, anak usia 5-6 tahun.
