Aiming at the importance of the nurse in the different directions and health care, studies point out the daily challenge of nursing professionals in relation to the importance of considering genetic aspects and in the care of patients with rare genetic diseases, such as Progressive Ossificans Fibrodysplasia (FOP) which is a rare genetic disease that stimulates the formation of bones inside the muscles, tendons, ligaments and other connective tissues progressively restricting movements, causing too much nursing care. This study aims to broaden the nurses’ knowledge about Fibrodysplasia Ossificante Progressiva (FOP), in addition to reporting the main difficulties in the care of patients with FOP; and discussing the importance of appropriate care for the carrier of this rare genetic disease by drawing up a qualified care plan. It is a research of the type bibliographic research of explanatory-descriptive character with qualitative approach, based on bibliographical reviews. According to the material analyzed, it is observed the importance of nurses’ knowledge regarding the disease and its respective treatments and types of care, and for this it is necessary that they have an adequate basis from a knowledge directed through courses, qualifications, lectures and qualified theoretical background. Consequently, in order to perform good care, nurses should guide their team about the best way to assist the patient, making it clear that there is a great challenge when it comes to the unusual, in order to show that it is possible to guarantee correct assistance for these patients.
Arboviruses are diseases caused by viruses and transmitted by contaminated saliva of hematophagous arthropods during blood meal. The objective is: to analyze scientific productions on the subject of epidemiology and collective care in the context of arboviruses. Study of the integrative, descriptive, exploratory and qualitative review modality. Data collection took place in August, 2022, in the following scientific databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS); Online Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO); Medical Literature Review (MEDLINE/PUBMED); Web Of Science and Google Scholar. To carry out the search effectively, the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) were defined, which are: Arboviruses; Caution; Epidemiology; Health. The steps established by PRISMA were followed. 07 scientific productions on the subject were gathered. Studies from the year 2022 predominated, in which all of them addressed various aspects related to environmental health, from the symptoms of the disease to its collective impact.
Introduction: Elderly people with visual impairment tend to be more sedentary, with consequent muscle loss, balance and functionality. These factors end up leading to a decrease in the quality of life, restricting social participation by limiting activities. Objective: to evaluate, through scientific evidence, the importance of assessing visual acuity in the elderly. Methodology: The search was carried out by searching the following databases: Online Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System (MEDLINE®), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF). The keywords used followed the description of the terms Health Science Descriptors (DeCS) and Medical Subject Heading (MESH) in Portuguese, which are: visual acuity, elderly. In order to carry out the integrated search, the “and” connective was used, uniting the descriptors. At this stage, there was no use of other filters in order to address all the available literature within the focus of interest. Results: Initially, a table was built to expose the studies containing information such as year, title, authors and place of publication. After searching the databases through the established inclusion and exclusion descriptors, 08 articles were selected in (Chart 1) for anal Introduction: Elderly people with visual impairment tend to be more sedentary, with consequent muscle loss, balance and functionality. Conclusion: Given the studies pointed out in the research, it can be seen that the quality of life of elderly patients is directly linked to the quality of vision. Visual acuity assessment is a way to detect possible pathologies and even a way to prevent the appearance of factors that can trigger vision loss, which can lead to musculoskeletal injuries due to falls.
The Intensive Care Units (ICU) were developed to provide assistance to people in critical condition, being reformulated by the National Humanization Policy (PNH), also called HumanizaSUS, reorganizing health care practices, in order to consider the uniqueness, the multidimensionality and the social context of the patient and his family. Being a humanization defined as a set of actions to qualify a complete assistance, valuing care as the main basis. This study aimed to analyze the scientific contributions on the humanization of care in the Intensive Care Unit, during the period from 2000 to 2012. This is an integrative review of the literature, which allows the realization of scientific knowledge, based on previous studies conducted. Online searches were performed at the Virtual Health Library, Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online) and LILACS (Latin American Literature). Counting with 10 productions, analyzed with an instrument created by the researcher herself. The results showed that the humanization of care contributes significantly to the recovery of the patient in the Intensive Care Unit. However, there are difficulties to overcome, related to issues of the patient and his / her family, the nursing team and health institutions. There is a need for training and awareness of professionals to improve care for critically ill patients.
This study is a bibliographic, descriptive, exploratory and qualitative research. The research took place in July and August, 2021, in the following databases: LILACS (Latin American Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences), MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) and BDENF (Bibliographic Database Specialized in the Nursing Area. The following descriptors were used: Nursing; Urgency; Emergency and Assistance, according to the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) crossed by the Boolean operator “AND.” The study gathered 11 articles in its final sample. emergency care (UPA), the nurse is the foundation of the urgency and emergency service together with his team. The nursing professional has a dual-dimensional work, care and management, which are focused on the individual and the collective.
