Il 2020 si è presentato come l'anno dei cambiamenti e dell'adattamento dell'uomo ad una "vita sospesa", un anno scandito da paure, sacrifici, distanze e nuove abitudini. Da questi cambiamenti, nasce il bisogno di nuove sfide, sia dal punto di vista sociale che pedagogico. La pandemia da COVID-19 ha costretto scuole e università, in tempi brevi e con numerose difficoltà, a escogitare nuove strategie per fronteggiare le nuove esigenze. Il processo di insegnamento-apprendimento è un processo che necessita di tempi e modalità variabili a seconda delle esigenze del discente, e questo periodo ha visto di sicuro il potenziale del digitale come mezzo supportivo e di mediatore di conoscenze. In particolare, l'ambito universitario ha visto nella maggior parte delle università, la quasi totalità delle attività didattiche in modalità on-line. In questa ricerca si considerano gli effetti prodotti dalle condizioni pandemiche, di concilio con i consueti e disparati stimoli derivanti dalla vita accademica, dallo studio, dall'interazione che non è più diretta, ma mediata fra studenti e docenti. A questo proposito, è stata condotta una valutazione su un gruppo di 405 studenti universitari utilizzando il test Idea Inventory (Kessinove, 1977) per valutare il sorgere di determinati comportamenti in relazione agli altri o a delle problematiche in un tempo che ha visto diverse privazioni su tutti i livelli, specie in quello sociale. Da ciò è scaturita la necessità di considerare e tendere verso una pedagogia del corpo (Gamelli, 2011): un approccio didattico e formativo che ha l'obiettivo di valorizzare e potenziare il ruolo della corporeità nei contesti di apprendimento (Sibilio, 2011).
