Resumen El artículo busca indagar en los proyectos de disciplinamiento sancionados por el Estado de la provincia de Mendoza (Argentina) durante la epidemia de cólera ocurrida en el verano de 1886 y 1887. Si bien los planes tenían como finalidad mejorar el estado sanitario de toda la población y de la ciudad, apuntaron y se aplicaron con mayor intensidad sobre los sectores populares y sus espacios. Esto se debió a las ideas y representaciones que en torno de la enfermedad y la muerte construyó el grupo dirigente durante estos periodos.
<p>El presente trabajo analiza los funerales de los exgobernadores de la provincia de Mendoza, Rufino Ortega y José Néstor Lencinas, quienes fallecieron en las primeras décadas del siglo XX en una coyuntura política y social inestable. Si bien estas ceremonias organizadas por el Estado presentaron ciertas características similares, también manifestaron particularidades que apuntaron a subrayar los valores identitarios del partido en el cual estos hombres habían militado y así legitimar su propio gobierno.</p>
El presente artículo expone la experiencia del relevamiento, catalogación y puesta en valor del patrimonio material mueble perteneciente a la Legislatura de la provincia de Mendoza, Argentina, llevado a cabo entre mayo de 2019 y abril de 2020.
La complejidad del trabajo se debió a que el acervo está conformado por diversos objetos: mobiliario, obras pictóricas, vitrales, artefactos lumínicos y se encuentran en los despachos de la mencionada institución. Al ser parte del funcionamiento cotidiano del establecimiento, están expuestos a permanentes cambios de emplazamiento y desgaste por su utilización. Algunos de estos se encuentran en estado de conservación deficiente, lo que hizo necesario la detección de ciertas patologías para una posible restauración.
Presentamos a continuación algunos de los resultados obtenidos con este proyecto y diversas reflexiones que surgieron a raíz del problema de trabajar con bienes muebles de instituciones públicas, que no cuentan con un plan de manejo ni con personal capacitado para administrar tan importante colección.
