Objetivo: Analisar a produção de boletins epidemiológicos pelos municípios de Pernambuco no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19. Metodologia: Estudo transversal descritivo de abordagem quantitativa, conduzido com base em dados secundários extraídos dos boletins epidemiológicos produzidos pelos municípios do Estado de Pernambuco no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19. Resultados: Ao analisar os boletins epidemiológicos produzidos para informar a situação de saúde da COVID-19, 181 municípios informaram o nome do município, dos quais 0,04% dos informes não possuíam a data; 22,3% dos boletins apresentaram contato telefônico da vigilância em saúde e/ou vigilância epidemiológica e/ou secretaria de saúde. No que diz respeito às variáveis gerais, 100% dos boletins produzidos trouxeram o número acumulado de casos confirmados, 73,4%, continham os casos confirmados nas últimas 24 horas, 95,7% óbitos acumulados, 57,7% óbitos nas últimas 24 horas, 94,8% o número de recuperados, 70,2% casos em monitoramento, 89,8% casos em investigação e 90,3% casos descartados. Conclusões: Como o boletim é uma das ferramentas que faz parte das atividades de rotina da vigilância epidemiológica, os resultados sugerem uma potencial necessidade de fortalecer a educação permanente em saúde para os profissionais responsáveis pela prevenção e controle de doenças e agravos, com sistema de coleta, consolidação, análise e disseminação de dados.
Objectives: to analyze how the disseminationof COVID-19 occurred in the cities of Pernambuco State, Northeast in Brazil. Methods: descriptive, exploratory and quantitative study whose units of analysis were the 184 cities and Fernando de Noronha Archipelago which constitutes the state of Pernambuco. Geoprocessing techniques used QGis 3.14.16 and were presented in figures. Results: the first city to register a case of COVID-19 was Recife, in 129 days there were already confirmed cases of the disease in all the cities in the state and including Fernando de Noronha Archipelago. Only 117 cities informed the patients’ sexin public reports since the first case and only 88 cities mentioned the patients ’ age. Conclusion: there was a fast spread of COVID-19 in the state of Pernambuco, showing the inability of the Health Surveillance services to control the transmission, especially in smalltowns.
