Existen pocos estudios relacionados a las pruebas que miden la dependencia emocional; por lo tanto, este artículo tiene como objetivo identificar los instrumentos utilizados para la medición de esta variable del 2009 al 2021. Se empleó la metodología de mapeo sistemático, revisando 36 artículos cuantitativos publicados en Scopus, SciELO y Redalyc entre enero de 2009 y septiembre de 2021. Los hallazgos muestran que España es el país que más artículos ha publicado sobre la dependencia emocional, asimismo, se encuentra que la mayoría de artículos están en español. Se halló un total de 14 instrumentos que miden esta variable, siendo Estados Unidos el país donde más instrumentos se han creado; sin embargo, el Cuestionario de Dependencia Emocional (CDE) de Lemos y Londoño es el más utilizado en las investigaciones. Cabe precisar que existen solo 7 artículos enfocados a evaluar las propiedades psicométricas, este estudio brinda un aporte significativo para la identificación de los principales instrumentos, así como para establecer una base de datos de investigaciones científicas y recolección de pruebas psicométricas que permitan futuros estudios.
