New product development is an important innovation that should be done to meet consumers’ new trends. This paper is prominent as it discusses new product development through the inactive problem perspective in SMEs in Indonesia as a way to explore customers’ expectations, which are often challenging to analyze. The capability to develop a new product based on the inactive problem perspective allows SMEs to become pioneers that possess various competitive advantages, including strong brand awareness. This study included 14 samples of SMEs to represent the characteristics of SMEs in Indonesia between 2016 and 2018. We used the particle swarm optimization approach for the decision making of several SME parameters with the profit maximization function. This paper is the first paper to discuss the relationship between the cost of ideas and production costs in the types of SMEs with an inactive problem perspective in Indonesia to obtain maximum profits by considering various factors that affect the costs and revenue of SMEs. This paper also analyzes the cost used for an idea realization to get maximum profit. This study shows that differences were found in each type of SME, and these difference were related to the amount of funds that were used to explore, realize, and make a profit out of a specific idea.
Technological sophistication has become the necessity of human life, because it can facilitate the survival of human life. One of the technological sophistication that is needed by humans is the mobile phone. Mobile communication devices require electrical power sourced from the battery, when it runs out of power [1]requires a power source to restore power. Portable charger products [2]is one of the products that are always in need of mobile phone users. In this study, portable charger products have the advantage that can charge electric power just by moving it without using the electricity that comes from PLN. The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of portable charger products and designing products in accordance with the voice of customers obtained. In the first stage, the preparation and distribution of questionnaires to obtain voice of customer, create a technical response, create a house of quality, which then design the manufacture of portable charger products in accordance with customer wishes. Based on the research, the result of design of portable charger product with the length of 15 cm, width 8cm, thickness 3 cm and has the adhesive as long as 25 cm. Mechanical balancing is required in the production process, without balancing the work station so the production process will not be effective and efficient. In the production process of PT. HM. Sampoerna Tbk. faced with the problems of balancing the lack of efficiency at the work station, so it is planned to determine the optimal production line so that the load on each work station will be more evenly and reduce idle time. The method used is the method of measurement of working time with stop watch and the method of weighting positions (Method Ranked Positional Weight) ABSTRAKTeknik keseimbangan lintasan diperlukan dalam proses produksi. Tanpa adanya keseimbangan lintasan dalam stasiun kerja maka proses produksi tidak akan berjalan secara efektif dan efisien. Dalam proses produksinya, PT. HM. Sampoerna Tbk. dihadapkan pada permasalahan keseimbangan lintasan yaitu kurangnya efisiensi pada stasiun kerja, sehingga direncanakan untuk menentukan lintasan produksi yang optimal sehingga pembebanan pada setiap stasiun kerja akan lebih merata dan mengurangi waktu menganggur. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pengukuran waktu kerja dengan jam henti (stop watch) dan metode bobot posisi (Method Ranked Positional Weight). Data yang dianalisis adalah waktu yang diperlukan oleh operator untuk menyelesaikan produksi rokok dan jumlah output rate untuk produk rata-rata yang dihasilkan untuk menetapkan waktu siklus ideal. Kedua data tersebut kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode bobot posisi, hingga didapatkan waktu produksi dan efisiensi lintasan yang optimal serta stasiun kerja yang optimal pula. Hasil analisis menyatakan bahwa dengan penggunaan metode keseimbangan lintasan, perusahaan dapat mencapai efisiensi lintasan sebesar 68,54% dan mengurangi ketidakseimbangan (balance delay) sebesar 42,02% dari 73,48% menjadi 31,46% Dan target produksi sebanyak 240 box/hari dapat terpenuhi. Kata kunci: keseimbangan, lintasan, efisiensi, bobot PENDAHULUANPertumbuhan industri yang mengalami kemajuan pesat bagi pihak industri merupakan indikator semakin meningkatnya pesaing yang ada, baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas produksi. Dengan adanya persaingan itu, maka pihak industri dituntut untuk selalu meningkatkan produktivitas dan efisiensi produksi. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan daya saing bagi produk itu sendiri di pasaran, karena dengan semakin meningkatnya produktivitas dan efisiensi produksi maka diharapkan industri tersebut mampu menekan biaya produksi. Selain itu, keuntungan yang diperoleh industri tersebut juga meningkat, tidak terkecuali PT. HM. Sampoerna yang merupakan badan usaha yang memproduksi rokok.
Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku Oli untuk Mesin Diesel Tipe ABSTRAKPersediaan bahan baku merupakan salah satu unsur yang paling penting dalam operasi perusahaan yang secara kontinyu harus diperoleh, diproses dan dijual kembali. Bahan baku yang dimaksud ini untuk memperlancar jalannya operasi produksi yang ditetapkan. Sehingga diperlukan suatu tingkat persediaan yang optimum yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan baik jumlah, mutu dan waktu dengan biaya yang rendah. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu sistem perencanaan dan pengendalian persediaan yang sebaik -baiknya, yaitu persediaan bahan baku harus ditentukan dan diperhitungkan dengan tepat dan benar agar diperoleh total biaya persediaan yang rendah sehingga bisa meminimasi biaya produksi.Pendekatan peramalan diharapkan dapat mewakili jumlah permintaan aktual pada periode mendatang. Berdasarkan jumlah permintaan dari hasil peramalan tersebut dapat ditentukan pengendalian persediaan bahan baku. Dengan menggunakan metode EOQ maka perusahaaan akan dapat meminimasi biaya persediaan bahan baku oli. Perusahaan seharusnya memperhatikan pencatatan data historis order oli, penggolongan biaya -biaya order dan biaya penyimpanan, karena data tersebut sangat diperlukan untuk memperoleh hasil pengendalian persediaan yang optimal. The raw material is meant for the smooth running of production operations set. So, we need an optimum inventory levels to meet the needs of both the quantity, quality and time at a low cost. For that we need a system of planning and inventory control are best -well, that inventories of raw materials should be defined and calculated correctly and accurately in order to obtain a low total cost of inventory that can minimize the cost of production. Forecasting approach is expected to represent the number of actual demand in the coming period. Based on the number of requests of forecasting results can be determined raw material inventory control. By using EOQ then firms will be able to minimize the cost of raw material supplies of oil. Companies should pay attention to the order of recording historical data of oil, classification of costs -the cost of orders and storage costs, because such data is necessary to obtain optimal results inventory control.
