Influence of Elastic Waves on the Elastic Impact of Spherical Granules and Glass Beads on Thin PlatesThe Zener model for elastic sphere impacts has been solved with high accuracy and was used to evaluate the inelasticity parameter as well as the coefficient of restitution (CoR) for different material combinations and size ratios. Additionally, the model was modified to find a comfortable solution for the CoR. The proposed approach approximates the Zener model well for larger CoRs. Both models have been used to evaluate the CoR of g-Al 2 O 3 and zeolite-4A granules and elastic-plastic spherical particle products at impact with glass plates of different thicknesses.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
