Chromoblastomycosis was successfully treated by cryosurgery in a 55-year-old white man. Depigmentation within the scar precludes an entirely successful cosmetic result.
Abstract. Cryosurgery is a commonly used modality for treatment of benign and malignant lesions in dermatology. Although cryosurgery has been used for treatment of leukoplakia, to our knowledge there have been no published reports on specific cure rates. This article presents a preliminary clinical report on a cryosurgical technique for treatment of premalignant leukoplakia of the lower lip and the cure rates of 53 lesions with a follow‐up of at least 1 year.
