The crystallization kinetics of Co based amorphous alloys after severe plastic deformation was studied by differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction and scanning probe microscopy. Severe plastic deformation was achieved by barocryodeformation (all-round compression). The results are compared with biaxial stretching by ion irradiation. It is shown that the crystallization rate increases after biaxial stretching and decreases after all-round compression.
The crystallization process of fluoride glass HBANI after combined deformation (compressive and torsional strain) of ε = 4 and annealing to crystallization temperatures was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction. The glass transition temperature and the crystallization temperature, the sequence of the crystalline phases emerging was determined. It is shown that the crystallization rate of fluoride glass decreases after combined deformation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
