The article examines some problems of ideas transformation on architectural form in the conditions of metaverse space. Some factors that, in this regard, affect the change of design priorities is considered. The connection of the emerging new architectural language with the worldview of deconstructivism and postmodernism is traced. The purpose of the article is to trace the transformation of ideas about architectural form in the context of the development of the metaverse space. On the basis of the analysis of projects created by well-known architectural firms for the metaverse environment, two content types of data related to form-creation were selected; they can be conventionally called perceptual and evolutional. Perceptual changes are understood as changes in morphological characteristics that are associated with the disappearance of climatic and gravitational conditions limitations that determined the key parameters of architecture in the real environment. Evolutional type refers to the connection of metaversal morphology with the historical ontology of architectural form in general. Within the framework of the perceptual type of data, the following form regularities are highlighted: a) significant inertia of traditional gravitational statics; b) experiments with the absence of fencing and insurance structures; c) experiments with the illumination of space, which can simultaneously exist in different light modes; d)lack of binding of material imitation to its physical properties; e) tendency to unique attractiveness. Within the limits of the evolutional type, premonitions regarding metaversal form in such tendencies as postmodernism and deconstructivism are considered. In the context of the first, such features as the relativization of time and the understanding of space as a set of events oriented to the communicative effect are highlighted. In the context of the second – attention to astatic and agravating masses, individualization of choice and perception of architecture is emphasized not only as a language where the designer is the “speaker” and the user is the interpreter, but as an equal communication of all participants. The hypothesis is expressed that in the future the main feature of the space of metaverses will be the ability to cause a communicative response, that is, to be the subject of discussion and reflection of its inhabitants. Probably, gradually, this feature will constitute the category of value of metaverse architecture – both artistic and economic.
The article considers the phenomenon of the positive perception of gated communities in Lviv, with an emphasis on historical aspects of urban planning. The research has shown that under certain conditions, the existence of gated communities is necessary and their popularity is justified. Therefore, it is necessary to develop mechanisms to avoid their negative consequences. In order to understand how closed communities function, and to identify natural trends in the development of this type of facility, their formation in other parts of Europe was analyzed. The results show that this approach is common for the living environment, but that it has its own characteristics at the level of formal expression and functional content. Form and location in the city structure are not essential for the formation of gated communities, with their effective functioning and logical connection with the external environment being more important. There is also a contradiction between the current situation, which is to ensure the physical security of the inhabitants, and the principles of sustainable urban development aimed at the concept of barrier-free space.
The article considers a problem of terminological determination of architectural objects of neo-modernism on the example of Lviv architecture, social and cultural preconditions and factors that influenced the formation of the neo-modern language at the turn of the XX-XXI centuries.
The aim of the article is to reveal the tendency to use images of the Constantinople capital's architecture in the projects of sacred buildings in Galicia at the beginning of the XXI century. Under the hieratopy of New Rome means the special status of Constantinople - the sacred center of the World Christian (Roman) State. After the fall of Constantinople, the image of New Rome became available for reproduction in previously remote corners of the Byzantine world, including in the construction of the identities of certain modern nations formed in the nineteenth century. It is underlined that the hieratopy of New Rome became an important part of Ukrainian identity searching within the sacred architecture of Galicia. It is determined that in varying degrees, it was characteristic of the search for a national manifestation both in the period of the turn of the XIX - XX centuries, and of the Independence period in the turn of the XX - XXI centuries. It is determined that for this last period, an important factor was the significant improvement of relations between the Western (Latin) and Eastern (Orthodox) churches, the rehabilitation of Eastern traditions in Roman Catholic discourse. Also the article shows examples of a number of buildings, which testify to different variants of architecture work of sacred buildings in Galicia (West Ukraine) with images of hieratopia of New Rome. Furthermore is given a ways in which it fits into the existing stereotypes of architectural manifestation of Ukrainian national identity and symbolism, as well as manifestations of Ukrainian national identity.
This article explores the ideological and narrative foundations of various forms of architectural historicism, marked by the identities manifestation which emerged in the era of modern nations appearance. The difference between the concepts of the three national communities - Ukrainian, Polish and Russian and how these concepts were conveyed with the help of architectural stylistics is outlined. It is determined that in all three cases, the main source of style-creation was the idea of the Ideal Homeland, which in all three national narratives accounts for the late Middle Ages (XVI-XVII centuries.) Also is suggested the concept of evaluative delimitation of this kind of heritage, depending on the inherent symbolic ideals.
