Problems have been identified pertaining to retirement scheme of the private sector employees in Malaysia where there is no legislated pension system in force. As a result of that, pension scheme and savings are more of a voluntary basis; although the principle is good but in practice many retirees suffer financially during their retirement. The objectives of this study are to examine factors contributing to individual's retirement planning behavior and the private pension system in the private sector in Malaysia. Retirement planning behaviour in this study was measured with series of questions on behaviour about retirement planning. A total of 500 working individuals from private sectors in the age group of 40 years and above had participated in this study. The results identified several significant variables in the prediction of retirement planning among working individuals in Malaysia, including individual who had higher levels of education, higher levels of income, financial literacy, retirement goal clarity and attitude towards retirement. There is a correlation between retirement planning behavior and saving for old aged. As a response to the result collected from the survey, a legal proposition is put forward to address issues of pension during retirement among private sector's employees.
Indonesia is a fertile place for traditional knowledge with more than 300 ethnical group inhabitants. Therefore, it is not surprising to know that Indonesia has the enormous potential of tradi-tional knowledge. However, Indonesia is still has some problems in legal framework to protect it. The research applies doctrinal research method. The problems that will be discussed in this article is what type of traditional knowledge documentation system that used in Indonesia and how it is performed in order to protect traditional knowledge. There are few goals from this research which are to find out about Indonesia's traditional knowledge documentation system and to compare it with other countries that also use documentation as the protection method. As a result, traditional knowledge documenta-tion system used in Indonesia is external registries which are done by parties outside the indigenous communities (Government, Academist, and NGO) and the information about traditional knowledge is placed in public domain. Even though it has not perfectly documented like India's Traditional Knowl-edge Digital Library, Indonesia has documented few of its traditional knowledge such as Songket pat-tern that belongs to South Sumatera. It could be summarized that traditional knowledge documenta-tion has a vital role as one of the most practical methods to perform traditional knowledge protection. In order to protect traditional knowledge, these documented activities need to be enhanced so it could give the financial benefit to indigenous communities as its owner.
This article reviews some factors leading to women prostitution in Iran. Efforts to address this phenomenon in every society must firstly be directed at the individual, the family, and also at economic, social and cultural factors to determine the extent they contribute to sexual crimes. In Iran, sexual offences receive significant attention because of Islamic injunctions application. The country does not permit or tolerate such offences. Since the sexual offences incidents are increasing in the world, this resulted in adverse consequences such as insecurity, the weakening of family structure, offending of public feelings and the prevalence of lawlessness. This makes it necessary, to identify the causal factors that stimulate the occurrence of such offences and to consistently eradicate them. This is an analytical study on the determined topic, to find out how women become manipulated sexually because of the causal factors that influenced them into prostitution activities. Despite the fact that Islamic legal jurisdiction is comprehensive and progressive and prostitution is recognised as an offence in Iran, unfortunately, it seems the offence is sometimes occurring.
Mixed orientation marriages refers to marriages involving a partner who is gay or lesbian while the other partner may be heterosexuals or bi-sexual as well. Parties to such marriage are men and women who are gender fluid or transgender who wish to maintain their relationship that exist before or after the existing marriage commenced. In United States of America, there are as many as three million of such marriages – perhaps even more. Homosexuality or bisexuality is illegal in Malaysia and thus, the existence of mixed orientation marriage in Malaysia often hide behind a normal marriage. It has been difficult to quantify such marriage unless the courts that handle divorce matters identified such grounds to these divorces. Plus, mixed orientation marriage is an oppression towards the wives who are heterosexual. This paper will dwell on; (a) the definition of mixed-orientation marriage; (b) the factors that cause a bisexual husband to pursue a marriage with a heterosexual wife without her knowing of the fact ; (c) to find out the effects of such relationships to a heterosexual spouse in terms of her health, emotion and psychological impacts; (d) To identify the legal redress on heterosexual wife and her rights in such marriage; and (e) to analyse some strategies and the legal remedies available to deal with such kind of marriages, which denied the vary basis of contractual relationship acknowledge by civil and sharia marriages laws in Malaysia.
ABSTRACTunder the said law because it threatens not only the public safety but also the national security. For the same reason smuggling also should be seen as a threat to Malaysia security and justifies for stern consideration and actions. Constant reviews on the loop-holes in the legal provisions and the available mechanism will minimize the possible injustice that may incur while enforcing the said Act. This paper will draw on the challenges faced by Malaysia government in combating and preventing smuggling activities, and by making these efforts will strengthen the country peace and security.
