A Pandemia de COVID 19 causou impacto significativo na relação de ensino e aprendizagem, com o fechamento de diversas universidades. Este fato demonstrou a necessidade de implementação de metodologias ativas para ensino, acelerando uma tendência já existente de migração de modelo de ensino em áreas voltadas a tecnologia. O Bim é uma disciplina multidisciplinar e integrada, que apresenta grande potencial de ensino mediante metodologias ativas, com compartilhamento constante e horizontal de conhecimento por parte dos próprios acadêmicos. Este trabalho visa expor as metodologias ativas e conceitos de sala de aula invertida aplicados, resultados e lições aprendidas referentes ao ensino de ferramentas BIM para orçamento e planejamento na disciplina de Planejamento e Controle das Construções, onde se obteve, através da autoavaliação dos próprios acadêmicos, taxas significativas de aprendizado e maturidade no manuseio de ferramentas BIM. Realizou-se um comparativo entre as autoavaliações dos discentes quanto ao aprendizado na disciplina, considerando os períodos 2019.1, onde se utilizou uma metodologia ativa, porém presencial, e o período 2020.1, onde a metodologia ativa se deu de forma remota. A forma remota de ensino levou a um aprofundamento da aplicação de metodologias ativas e maior responsabilização dos acadêmicos pelo aprendizado, o que resultou em índices maiores de autoavaliação de conhecimento obtido para a turma do período 2020.1, com alto grau de participação no aprendizado BIM, na elaboração de Projetos, orçamentos e planejamentos, o que indica que o aprofundamento em metodologias ativa pode favorecer o aprendizado de disciplinas tecnológicas. O aumento da população urbana a nível mundial traz consigo diversos desafios econômicos, ambientais e sociológicos. Nesse contexto, surgiu o conceito de Smart Cities, que podem ser resumidamente definidas como centros urbanos planejados de forma a integrar da melhor maneira possível uma população, trazendo consigo eficiência nos campos energéticos, de transporte, ambiental, entre outros. Entretanto, para uma efetiva implantação das Smart Cities, com o uso otimizado dos recursos disponíveis, faz-se necessário o uso de tecnologias avançadas nos campos da informática e engenharia. Uma das tecnologias que mais se destacam nesse contexto é o Building Information Modelling (BIM). Este artigo, portanto, possui o objetivo de, através de um Mapeamento Sistemático da Literatura (MSL), identificar qual a evolução das pesquisas sobre o uso do BIM em Smart Cities a nível mundial. Como conclusão, pode-se notar o crescente uso do BIM nas cidades inteligentes, bem como seu uso integrado a outras tecnologias, como a Internet of Things (IoT) e Geographical Information System (GIS), também se identificando uma maior necessidade de pesquisas relacionadas à integração entre essas ferramentas.
