RESUMOAs gerações estão mudando cada vez mais rápido seus conceitos e perfis comportamentais nas áreas de trabalho. Com isso, este trabalho teve por objetivo analisar as principais características das gerações Y e Z e seu impacto como profissionais de Comércio Internacional, estabelecendo uma relação entre a teoria e validando através de pesquisa quantitativa. Uma pesquisa foi aplicada em 232 estudantes do curso de Comércio Internacional da cidade universitária de Caxias do Sul e de Bento Gonçalves da UCS. Analisando os dados foi possível perceber que para a geração X a hierarquia dentro da empresa é a variável mais importante. Já para a geração Y a agregação do conhecimento recebe destaque. Observa-se também um elevado número de jovens pertencentes a geração Z, participantes da pesquisa, e uma homogeneidade entre os sexos masculinos e femininos, um alto índice de jovens que tem renda de até R$1.880,00 e que questões relacionadas com a família e bem-estar ainda tem um peso considerável entre essas gerações. INTRODUÇÃOAtualmente, no mercado de trabalho, identifica-se o ingresso de duas gerações nos postos de trabalho, denominadas como a geração "Y" e "Z". Essas duas gerações têm características diferenciadas que as tornam um verdadeiro desafio aos empregadores (MAURER, 2013), pois cada geração é formada por um grupo de pessoas que possuem características semelhantes levando-se em consideração fatos ocorridos no seu desenvolver (CASTRO; REIS; SEGATO, 2009). Hoje, salientam-se duas gerações, a geração Y que já está atuando no mercado de trabalho e a geração Z que já ocupa alguma representatividade nas empresas, mas ainda tem muito espaço para conquistar (CASTRO; REIS; SEGATO, 2009), as quais abrangem a grande maioria dos alunos do curso de Comércio Internacional.García, Stein e Ramón (2008) destacam que, a geração Y apresenta um comportamento mais resolvido para suas decisões simplesmente agindo. São relativamente mais silenciosos e com expectativas novas, complicando sua integração às empresas.Em contrapartida, Castro, Reis e Segato (2009) apresentam a geração Z tendo uma grande facilidade relacionada a assuntos tecnológicos aperfeiçoando seus conhecimentos constantemente. Porém, salientam ainda que, justamente essa característica também acaba desenvolvendo a ansiedade e o imediato para seus assuntos, o que também acaba interferindo na sua visão sobre hierarquia nas organizações.Com o passar do tempo, as empresas veem apresentando grandes mudanças no seu processo gerencial e comercial e, para acompanhar essa evolução, as universidades também apresentaram avanços na formação de profissionais que atendam às necessidades destas empresas, como é o caso do curso de Comércio Internacional.Paralelo a essas evoluções, o Comércio Internacional apresentou em março de 2016, uma balança comercial com superávit de USD 828 milhões, devido ao bom resultado na exportação que aproximaram o valor de USD 3.330 milhões indica um fundamental papel do comércio internacional na economia brasileira (MDIC, 2016).Neste sentido, a demanda p...
