A identificação precoce dos indicadores de produtividade das culturas pode ajudar a aumentar o rendimento e o lucro. Assim, o objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar modelos de regressão linear para a predição da produtividade da cultura da soja, a nível regional, utilizando índices de vegetação obtidos por imagens de sensores orbitais. Amostras de plantas foram coletas em propriedades da região sul do estado do Tocantins e, posteriormente, em laboratório foram determinadas suas produtividades. Estas áreas foram demarcadas com o auxílio de um aparelho GPS. Os índices de vegetação foram gerados com o auxílio do SIG Qgis® e obtidos os índices NDVI, SAVI, NDWI e EVI2. Os dados de produtividade foram utilizados para a realização de correlações e regressões com os dados dos índices de vegetação. Para verificar se os modelos propostos foram adequados para descrever a produtividade, analisou-se o R². Os valores dos índices de vegetação da safra 2015/2016 teve uma maior variabilidade em relação à safra 2016/2017, que pode ser explicado pela distribuição pluviométrica irregular nessa safra. Os modelos de regressão linear múltiplas tiveram coeficientes de determinação superiores a 71%. E os modelos produzidos com dados conjuntos das duas safras, o R² alcançou valores superiores a 62%, o que demonstra a importância do aspecto temporal na previsão de safras.
