AbstractThis article aims to present the process of developing a matrix of sustainability indicators of selective collection of urban solid wastes and its application in Salvador-BA determining the Level of Sustainability (GS) of selective collection. The construction of the preliminary matrix was based on the literature review in public databases and scholarly literature on sustainability indicators of selective collection. The preliminary matrix was composed of 4 dimensions of sustainability 24 indicators and 72 tendencies and its external validation was performed through two rounds of the Delphi method. After the process of external validation, the final matrix of sustainability indicators selective collection was comprised of 22 indicators and 69 tendencies. The application of the matrix was made in Salvador-BA, being found the level of sustainability of selective collection of 4.45 which corresponds to a low sustainability. Keywords: urban solid wastes, selective collection, sustainability indicators, Delphi method.
