Anterior gastro-enterostomy was made on Case I, while the posterior method with a short loop (Moynihan) was used in cases II and III. All three cases recovered from the immediate effects of the operation, but case I died in three weeks of exhaustion as a result of the second and third perforations. Case II gained 44 pounds between November and February and is in excellent health at this time, October, 1905.
