Theoretical determination of a mathematical model to describe a polarized relay requires knowledge of the relay characteristics, i.e. the inductance, resistance and armature dynamics. Unless the data are supplied by the manufacturer determination of the characteristics is time-consuming and may present problems, especially if the inductance is required at low frequencies. A technique is presented here which overcomes measurement difficulties at low frequency and allows an approximate model to be rapidly determined.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
