Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park in collaboration with the Wildlife Conservation Society Indonesia Program (WCS-IP) to conduct a routine monitoring on terrestrial vertebrate mammals such as Felidae by using camera traps located at Resort Pemerihan-Way Haru. The research purposes was to identify the characteristics of the habitat, analyze the diversity and relative abundance index of Felidae in Resort Pemerihan-Way Haru, Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, Lampung. The research methodologies used in this study were literature review, analysis of the vegetation and capture-recapture using camera traps. The important value index of the dominant vegetation of the Felidae's habitat is Etlingera sp (IVI = 22.47), for seedlling and sapling stage is Mallotus miquelianus (IVI = 15.03 and IVI = 17.51), for pole stage is Dillenia excelsa (IVI = 37.53) and tree stage is Dracontomelon dao (IVI = 14.89). Species successfully recorded in the camera traps is marbled cat (Pardofelis marmorata) (RAI = 0.14; n = 2) and leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis) (RAI = 0.14; n = 2).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
