Objetivou-se identificar na literatura os fatores que influenciam a adesão do idoso com Diabetes Mellitus à terapêutica. Realizou-se revisão integrativa, com análise textual qualitativa. A busca ocorreu no Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, por publicações brasileiras, em oito bases de dados, no período de janeiro de 2002 a setembro de 2016. Selecionou-se 12 estudos, dos 187 encontrados, originando duas categorias: Fatores que influenciam positivamente a adesão do idoso com Diabetes Mellitus à terapêutica, e Fatores que influenciam negativamente a adesão do idoso com Diabetes Mellitus à terapêutica. Conclui-se a necessidade de mais estudos sobre a temática, pois foram encontradas apenas publicações com baixos níveis de evidências e a premência da intensificação no diálogo conscientizador com os idosos e suas famílias, no intuito de maximizar e/ou manter sua qualidade de vida, autonomia e independência.

Es esta una investigación cualitativa, con delineamiento transversal, desarrollada con 111 ancianos hospitalizados en una institución hospitalaria ubicada en el sur del Rio Grande do Sul. Para recolección de datos se ha utilizado un instrumento denominado Escala de Evaluación Alimentaria para el Anciano Hospitalizado. Ha sido realizado un análisis factorial y descriptivo. Los datos cuantitativos generados fueron digitalizados y organizados en el software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, versión 20.0. Fueron identificados cuatro valores relacionados con la dificultad de alimentación por vía oral por los ancianos hospitalizados: factores ambientales, alimentarios, fisiológicos y los relacionados con el equipo de salud. Los factores ambientales se destacaron como aquellos que más dificultan la alimentación por vía oral de los pacientes ancianos hospitalizados, más fielmente los ítems que contemplan el dolor, la depresión y el uso/ acción de las medicinas.Palabras clave: Anciano; Alimentación; Enfermería; Gerontogeriatría RESUMO:Identificar os fatores que mais dificultam a alimentação por via oral em pacientes idosos hospitalizados. Trata-se de uma pesquisa quantitativa, com delineamento transversal, desenvolvida com 111 idosos hospitalizados em uma instituição hospitalar localizada ao sul do Rio Grande do Sul. O objetivo deste estudo foi propor alterações na estrutura física de uma Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos visando à prevenção de quedas nos residentes. Pesquisa-ação realizada no Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, entre agosto de 2009 e junho de 2010. Participantes foram pesquisadoras, administradores e demais profissionais de nível superior. A coleta dos dados ocorreu através de seminário/reunião e entrevista semi-estruturada. Verificou-se o distanciamento entre o atendimento preconizado pela Resolução da Diretoria Colegiada Nº 283, de 26 de Setembro de 2005 e a Resolução No94, de 31 de Dezembro de 2007 da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária e a capacidade real de atendimento. A identificação de demandas emergentes do processo de trabalho com os idosos possibilitou a adoção de ações coletivas orientadas para a prevenção de quedas.
