The article presents an analysis of tools for influencing the sustainable development of regions, considering their industry specifics, as well as ways to influence socioeconomic growth. The purpose of the article is to model the assessment of demoetic, demographic, democratic, and demoeconomical factors as the basis of the industrial and innovative paradigm of social sustainability. Achieving sustainability is possible only along the vector of harmony through the systemic combination 4D = “D + 3D”, namely, demoethics and demography, democracy, demoeconomy. Analysis of the existing processes of development and harmonization of society is implemented in the example of Kazakhstan. Research methods include integral analysis for ranking regions and correlation and regression modeling to assess the impact of factors on the process of sustainable development of society in a particular territory. The article hypothesizes that the creation of conditions for the development of the main regional industry will stimulate its sustainable and harmonious socioeconomic growth and provide the necessary level for the process of social harmonization. The findings show that the proposed approach made it possible to identify harmonious and disharmonious factors in the development of the region and to identify tools for influencing the process of sustainable development of society to increase the level of harmonious socioeconomic development of a particular region.
Single-industry regions, common to all industrially developed countries, need to overcome the economic crises. We assume that it is possible to achieve this goal based on new forms of cooperation between the main participants: business, state, education, and science. Based on the triple helix model, the study develops a mechanism for cooperation between higher education and business in depressed single-industry regions. The model was tested on the example of the Republic of Kazakhstan. We use the methodological principles of logical, statistical analysis and synthesis. To increase the impact of universities on the national economic growth, we propose a cooperation mechanism based on the Triple Helix model. This model is adapted to the specificity of single-industry and depressed regions, where regional universities play a dominant role as a source of innovation and innovative synergy for the cooperation of partners involved. Simultaneously, the creation of new forms of cooperation between higher education and business leads to the acceleration of social and economic development of regions. The mechanism of the proposed triple helix model aims to encourage all participants to generate innovations, provide high-quality educational services, conduct research and fill business orders. Local and state authorities in the field of economic management can use the results and conclusions of the survey for creating regional development programmes.
This study aims to improve state regulation and administration of quasi-state sector of environmental sustainability in the Republic of Kazakhstan within the social sustainability paradigm. This study is due to the need to search the balance of business interests, and efficient use of resources and their conservation on a global scale. The issues of state asset management are identified and ways to resolve them are proposed based on the corporate foresight methodology using the strategic planning mechanism. As a result of the analysis of the tools introduced into the practice of leading transnational corporations, the main directions are identified in which it is advisable to take measures aimed at streamlining and optimizing the quasi-public sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This article presents proposals for improving state regulation and administration of quasi-public companies in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The outcomes of this study can assist policymakers, experts, and stakeholders in gaining awareness about these problems while simultaneously improving sustainability practices.
